SAMLAMBO Report post Posted February 24, 2017 So I gather the Aventador S has a lighter more free flowing exhaust. Anyone have any inputs on this? How much lighter ?
topjay Report post Posted February 24, 2017 So I gather the Aventador S has a lighter more free flowing exhaust. Anyone have any inputs on this? How much lighter ? I have no idea, but I'm going to guess not a lot, more likely its minutely lighter due to the simplified design, unless it's made of a different material I would put money on it that only the exit tips will be different, possible they could have upgraded the internal cats but I doubt it. Car has some good tech, clever suspension and steering, but the running gear remains the same, power increase comes from a raised rev limiter same as with the sv rather than any changes. They have added the rear quarter vents for cooling but that's about it.

But our stock exhaust weigh a ton and comes built in with 2 cats also
topjay Report post Posted February 24, 2017 They sound way better with a proper exhaust, really makes the car. I did 2 threads on changing mine, and weighing them etc, first with aventador and lnb exhaust and then sv with capristo. I prefer aftermarket to the Lambo racing systems as I have learned that at times I want the option of closing the valves and staying quiet such as on a long journey or in traffic or late at night. Also you can stay in street and still get the sound if you want but the cars range is about double that of being in sport mode! Never had any issues having done it either, just straight bolt in and no ecu probs.

Would love having a good aftermarket exhaust on but the laws here are very strict hence hopefully a better factory exhaust

Factory race exhaust has no cats and won't pass emissions if they are very tight, hence having to sign a disclaimer that it is not for road use. As I said I would expect the S to be very similar in sound to an aventador it is all very tightly controlled now so it complies with all markets.
