capt_chaos Report post Posted June 17, 2017 Having seen yet another evoque convertible (okay not selling that well) I thought of this thread idea. Essentially cars they should not make because they will be utter crap but they will make them anyway. My idea. Baby g wagon. Evoque size g wagen, same ropey g wagen ride and build quality. Will sell like hot cakes. 18 months later the convertible option comes out.
Smash Boy Report post Posted June 17, 2017 Crap as in build quality or just a that this vehicle exists in the marketplace all of a sudden? Just about most of the luxury SUVs in the last 10 years fall into the latter category....do we really need the Bentayga, Levante, potential Lambo SUV? Some of these hybrid wagon/SUVs that are the bread and butter of Subaru, showing up in BMW and MB iterations... I thought I came across a rendering for a MB pickup...like 3/4 ton size....is MB going to outdo the big 3 and the Tundra in making a pickup? On the flipside of your thread - cars that won't sell well but will be great: Alfa Romeo Giulia Anything Lotus

TestShoot Report post Posted June 19, 2017 That Cadillac Ciel concept in the Entourage movieI kinda like it, maybe for a weekend, once. Nobody really buys luxobarge 'verts in significant numbers, to make it worse, this has no roof option at all.

ct1 Report post Posted June 19, 2017 Caddy has had some fabulous concept cars. The ceil, elmiraj, and most recently the escala. The escala is the center piece of cadillac print and tv ads in an attempt to drive showroom traffic. Imagine the confusion when buyers show up to only be told "uh yeah, that's a beautiful car, but, well, uhm, we don't actually build that car". Shame. Great original designs that are what a cadillac should be.
