Movie Review: All Eyez On Me

A very good biopic of Tupac Shakur. I'd say a better, although maybe not as entertaining a hip hop biopic as Straight Outta Compton or Notorious.

Comes in a bit long around 2 hours, 20 minutes.....but is pretty thorough and covers everything from pre-birth to death. His mother plays a prominent role in this film as well. Even those who know the Tupac story well, will probably learn something from this movie.

Demetrius Shipp Jr. does an excellent job portraying Tupac. The look, voice, mannerism, etc. are dead on.

Soundtrack was great if you recall the early to mid '90s rap scene. Perfect 2pac songs to start and end the flick.

I concur with everything you said. Very powerful movie! Couldn't have been done any better. I think the woman who played his mom knocked the ball out the park.

Gotta see this in along with transformers. Haven't been to the movies in ages

I saw transformers last night.

It was apocalyptic-ally bad. Like, maybe the worst movie Ive ever seen.

Michael bay literally fucked this one to death.

Rolling Stone

"Yes, that's zero stars you see up there. Every time Michael Bay directs another Transformers abomination (this is the fifth), the movies die a little. Mark Wahlberg has announced that The Last Knight will be his farewell to the Bay franchise. Quoth the actor: "I get my life back".

Transformers: The Last Knight is all kinds of awful. It's also the worst of the series to date, which is saying something. The year is only half over, but even Pirates 5, Fifty Shades Darker, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and The Mummy can't rob Transformers 5 of the title as 2017's most toxic film byproduct".

  • 2 weeks later...

Movie was pretty good, I really enjoyed it. But especially for those guys over 60, make sure you dehydrate a couple hours in advance and also go to the restroom right before going in, as the flick is pretty lengthy once you add all the other movie previews to the movie itself. Went to the Corgi Nation Convention today in LongBeach & took my Corgi 2Pac style.
