The one in the video was modded, we did a run vs the Huracan later on that night and it was dead even... How about an 991 Turbo S? I don´t know of any other car that can launch harder. Awesome! But why no launch mode on the Tesla? I know it doesn't make a huge difference, but still... Did you do a roll race as well? I have trail raced one on the highway due to the bad traffic (Not that this is a perfect way to get a sense of speed) we have in South FL and it seemed faster than the Huracans that I have played around with on the highway on the local runs... Imagine rolling up next to a Tesla in a Huracan, and the guy wants to race you at a stoplight.....you have to look over at your gf and try to keep it cool. FikseSTS Report post Posted September 24, 2016 It's really crazy, keep in mind you have to be in corsa, ESC off and do launch control in the Huracan.... if you don't launch, forget about it, you're absolutely toast... The P100D in this video didn't even use launch mode, he just jammed on the pedal and went, and it was his first time ever down the drag strip.... That's pretty hilarious, amazing, and sad all at the same time. Great achievement but it's kind of a one trick pony which is possible due to the characteristics of the electric motors instant torque, accelerate fast off the line but then it's all downhill from there, put it on a racetrack, few twisties etc. I am sure acceleration figures drop once the batteries heat up, not as charged etc. Not trying to take anything from Tesla's achievement because it's very impressive but electric cars have a long way to go in order to become good all rounders like ICE cars can be.
