Whats everyones thoughts of this piece? It says all carbon fiber even though it shows fiberglass in this version.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Carbon-Fiber-Perfo...hTi&vxp=mtr

I was thinking to make some stronger support brackets under the rear panel but other than that, it is exactly what I was thinking.

To do the OEM huracan performante spoiler it will be over $50K for the hatch, glass, rear upper frame, rear panel where emblem ($6000 alone), spoiler, etc.. They priced it this high on purpose so no one would do it to a regular huracan with OEM Lamborghini parts.

I think the regular huracan looks better without the wing jmho. Also wouldnt trust its gonna hold up to the speeds your car is capable of.And i bet there will be fitment issues.I wouldnt do it.

I agree on the both points. It would have to have some reinforcement brackets I would need to fabricate. In terms of the fitment, I have to say it will require some sanding for sure and then I would have to hope it would fit decent. You never know in my experience except to bet it won't fit out of the box.

Doesn't look that well engineered. Seems like plenty of extra work to ensure its stability.

Do you really want to buy a CF product without any reference on how the weave looks IRL?

Also agree that the car is fine exactly as is.

It seems that it stands higher than the Performante wing, possibly that’s what makes it look a bit odd. The first thing I think when I look at an aftermarket wing is air break!

I doubt any of the manufacturers do any aero testing.

I always though that the regular Huracan does not need a wing. Its beautiful just the way it is. Its similar to Ferrari's, it ruins the look of them

I wouldn't do it.....

Wow lots of Dont bother responses. It wouldn’t be anything non reverseable that’s for sure. I’m betting its the same height as the perf wing but maybe not. I’m going to ask for measurements.

Hasn't UGR put a similar wing on a few of their cars? I didn't think it looked bad in those pics, which wing did they use?

I believe they said it was OEM Perf wing, which is incredibly involved (Hatch, etc)

IMVHO, if the majority of Lambo guys say it’s too much, it’s definitely too much.

Unless you're from in Japan. Then you need 16 more wings, neonlights and a leopard paint job. ;)

Fixed it for you. ;) :icon_mrgreen:

Can one of the PERFORMANTE owners do me a favor and measure the height off the edge of the center, front of the spoiler? And the overall width of the OEM wing?

Yes height = 8 “ and width = 60 5/8 front tip to tip

After looking at the aftermarket and oem the difference is in the size and angle of the struts .Oem struts are much wider at the base.

I’ve seen that one installed in person and it literally broke at I think 150-190mph at the oem rear base according to the driver of the car. Really a nice wing and broken symmetrically under both bases. It might not have been reinforced properly as say vorsteiner normally offers with there spoilers with some carbon supports hidden under the base. I actually have a low mount rsc lip spoiler now which is nice quality. I’ve asked rsc on another forum I believe about there tall performante style wing if they have fixed the problem and they never sent me any updates except to email them. They also wanted like $5k for the wing I saw fail in person so I didn’t bother to follow up anymore.

The eBay one I posted has similar measurements but it might be a little bigger. The eBay one says about 64” wide and q0” tall BUT the height measurement isn’t precise as the oem performante was measured in front and no idea where eBay guy did it at. Thanks for getting the measurements.

Jim with the gray H also had his aftermarket wing crack the deck lid after hitting 140-150mph which should never happen with any wing.. :(

That sucks about the RSC wing. I have a 1016 Industries wing on my H and the wing uprights are bolted to the frame of the car. No issues with high speeds and my driving is “ spirited” to say the least.

It doesn’t look like the Perf wing however, so it might not suit you.

Wow that’s too bad. The owner of that company wind tunnel tested the wing, so I’m surprised that happened. Maybe the wind tunnel doesn’t go up to 230mph...
