TestShoot Report post Posted March 13, 2017 I actually have a whole playlist on spotify for this, but aside from all the big band stuff my grandparents raised me on, I'll say I dig the Red Stick Ramblers. Saw them in New Orleans by accident once, fun guys. Tongue in cheek lyrics. There's only room in the barnyard for just one rooster, that means no chicks for you... And this show I went to see in Venice with Bret (RIP) of the Unlimited Class.

I would say that nothing touches Kenny Loggins "Danger Zone" in that department....LOL. Luckily those days are long gone, don't think I could give it a full listen now. I also really enjoy Lindsey Stirling something about violin mixed with dub/pop just does something to me. Great working music, keeps me energized. Smash Boy Report post Posted March 13, 2017 If you put some thought into these things like I sometimes do, I think the common ingredient for "gay songs" is how many synthesizers are in the music. Disco and a bunch of your 80s music had a s***load, hence how dated that stuff is. When those older songs are covered with modern interpretations, they don't sound as bad because they tend to drop most or all of the synths. Not all synths are bad or you should be devoid of them, after all you cannot have pop music without them. It's a balancing act, where too much is a problem. I like strings and horns too on pop stuff, but sometimes depending on the arrangement it can date. This one can go either way. BTW, American culture is a little too snobby and uptight about this stuff. Get around some Filipinos or Japanese and you'll never ever be embarrassed by what you are caught listening to.
