  1. I haven't received a build date but I did get a message from the dealership to lock in my specs soon. One question I do have is are you all planning to have the SVJ logo on the side of the car? There is an option to have it painted or go with a decal. What option would you go with? Reason I ask is that a dealer mentioned that it was better to have it painted which cost an extra 5k over the decal. But also, the red J might not go with exterior details like caliper color, rims, etc. Just curious to your thoughts.
  2. Thanks Everyone for chiming in. Logically, Fortis is totally spot on, but also seeing everyone enjoying their Performantes makes me want to pull the trigger! Now the inner battle of logic or emotion winning before giving my decision to the dealership tomorrow... Also, out here in SoCal many of the dealerships are still selling the 720S at markup. It sounds like that will simmer down come March from what I am hearing.
  3. I ordered a Performante that arrived at my dealership and now I am having second thoughts of whether or not to go through with it. My goal was never to flip or profit on the car, but I don't want to take a bath in terms of depreciation if I own the car for around a year to move onto another car. 720S seem to be holding value well and are going well over mark up (not sure how long that will last based on past McLarens). Outside of the Performante that I specced I have already been offered new Performantes in stock at msrp which concerns me since the car has only been available in the US for a couple months, not to mention the rumors of a Super Trofeo/Superleggerra version coming out next year. I am curious to hear your thoughts on how values will hold up over the next 6 months to a year based on what you see with current demand and production numbers? Being a limited production car much like a Speciale or 675LT, would value hold up differently?
  4. This is the best Aventador I have ever seen. Incredible...
  5. I am just curious to opinions on how the Aventador will depreciate in the 6 months to a year? I have been keeping an eye on the market since the car has been released and prices are still around 50k over (some even selling for 500k). I remember back in 2002 when the Murcielago came out, they were marked up for maybe half a year before going back to sticker. The mark up on the Aventador is kind of reminding me of Ferrari 360 prices back in the early 2000's. The mark up has kept me out of the market of wanting to own one because I wanted to be cautious of sudden price drops. Any opinions on when would be a good time to buy? Or would depreciation be similar to Ferrari 360's on how they were over sticker with steady depreciation?
