Post from McLaren life

"I was there Saturday and I absolutely loved it. Already gave my dealer the go-ahead to sign me up for an early one. It's absolutely stunning. Best looking McLaren yet. I think it even looks better than the beautiful P1 and I own a P1. I think demand for this car will be very high and the value for the money is superb. "

Can't wait to see if this is true!!!

I was there Saturday looked like a baby p1 interior was much better than 650. Car is supposably around 200 so will be a steal.

Only problem....if it is that good ...will kill resale on 12c and 650s?

Nice but still boring. I do think it will further crush resale for 12c/650. Way to go McLaren.

Ditto.

Never mind the 12c and 650, I would be pissed if I bought a P1, looks too similar.

Goes to show how important design is, so many put their name down just on looks alone.

I am not a fan of McLaren's design language, I like the P1 but in spite of the fact that they are tirelessly working on improving the design of their entry level they aren't there yet IMO, in photos it does look much better than the previous models, I will reserve final judgment until I see one in real life but it seems they are on the right track.

From those photos, i like it but I'm not a fan of the headlights. They seem too bulky for the car. However, after driving the 650S for the first time yesterday, I'm in love with the way it drives. I hope the 570 has that same feeling.

That rear window treatment looks like a Nineties Honda Del Sol. :icon_mrgreen:

McLaren needs to step up to the plate and stop re-working the same design that has proven to be a sales flop.

They must be running out of lipstick for the oinker.

love it, I cant even imagine what the new 700 will be like :eek3dance:

IMO McLaren has stepped up big time lately!

depending on sales price... should be a home run IMHO

Looks like a cheaper, more refined 650 to me. I like how much lower the sill is to get in and out but the doors may still make it a pain. Entry level cars are usually much more user friendly than their high performance cousins.

I spent real time in and around this thing and it is really so cool compared to the pictures. I was very VERY impressed at the Carbon Fiber.. all "black" parts of the car were beautiful exposed carbon fiber and the scoup (over the rear fenders and on top behind the door handle was larger in life (looked bad ass) also the body folds were sick.. the door had real folds near the intakes and inside the folds all CF. they also will paint it ANY color and do all sorts of crazy ass mods. this is really a cool twin turbo car for under 200k

I have no0 needs that this car could fulfill (at all) but I was impressed and I really loved it. The passenger side windows of the compartment do look Gallardo-esque

when the doors were opened it was even better. Interior was Sparten but bi-color

I read that all that carbon fiber that you saw, is not standard equipment .... That display car had all the bells and whistles.
