Rep. Vicente Gonzalez told MSNBC that today's shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas wasn't terrorism related. He added that 25 people have been confirmed dead. He said he heard reports that 24 people have been confirmed dead, while 20 people are injured. We won’t have final numbers until probably a few more hours."

Gonzalez added that "apparently the shooter was not from the area, he was from outside of that area."

I saw something online that showed screenshots from a supposed victim/witness at the church and said he was antifa or what ever it is and there was 2 shooters. Then they had fb screenshots before the page was taken down showing his polictical views.

Now I see mainstream online news not mention this story this way. Seems odd again after LV. Something is not feeling right about the quietness of LV story and then this spinoff.

I've read he was an atheist, unhonorably discharged from the service, for beating up his wife? Not sure what his politics were...I tired of these fricken shootings...

What a sad thing. Shooter was engaged by armed citizen and chased away from scene. A hero for his quick actions. Now let’s see if the shooter committed suicide or was hit by hero.

Antifa all over his Facebook and dishonorable discscharge.

I’m still confused about the atheist. He taught Sunday school.

Also atheist really doesn’t have anything specific to do with murder.

too soon to talk about it since was a white shooter.....

Liberal media are the ones not talking about it. I guess the suspect's antifa affiliation makes it difficult for them to push their narrative. The suspect's race has nothing to do with it.

Attacking people at church is such a cowardly thing to do. I cannot comprehend shooting a five year old. I am hoping the heroic citizen was the one who got this coward.

Some new-ish reports are saying he was a former Sunday school teacher but now hated religious people...I haven't heard anything about his political affiliation but honestly I'm not sure how much it matters. He was in jail for a year for beating his wife and kicked out of the military because of it, how in the hell did he get a gun? DV charges, much less convictions, typically result in not being able to own firearms, so was this an old gun he kept? Did he purchase it after his conviction? If so from where? Neighbors say they heard him shooting (or at least someone on his property shooting) at odd hours, and no one from LE checks up on it, given his conviction and subsequent discharge? And yes I know, he's a criminal with a gun, like many criminals with guns, but he was pretty open about possessing a gun and I wasn't like he was trying to hide that fact, given the fact he openly bragged on Facebook about having one, and no one thought to ask why this crazy assbag had a gun?

From what I've read so far this morning:

- Did not have disqualifying history at the time he bought the gun

- May have been targeting his mother in-law, as she apparently went to that church

- Dude is a piece of crap

Shooter was DENIED a carry license and was shot by someone who DID have one. FWIW. (Long guns are, for better or worse, not regulated by the same rules as handguns).
