whiteout Report post Posted June 16, 2017 ****Disclaimer**** 2WD/RWD cars ONLY I made the switch from Pzero Rosso to R888R for my Murci. My tires generally go bad from age, not wear, and I was having traction issues with the Rosso. So I decided to go with a sticky tire and chose the R888R after having a good experience with the R888 on my Viper. I am very impressed: they hook up, look meaty, are comfortable and I cannot hear them over my exhaust. So far it's looking like a good option for the 2WD cars. I haven't taken the car on any twisty roads yet, but the wider front tires should help with turn-in characteristics and kill some of the oversteer. Front: - Pzero 245/35R18 21lbs 24.8” tall 8.6” wide - R888R 255/35R18: 26lbs 25.1“ tall 9.5“ wide R888R Differences +5lbs .3” taller .9” wider Rear - Pzero 335/30R18 33lbs 26.1” tall 12.4.” wide - R888R 335/30R18 32lbs 26” tall 12.6“ wide R888R Differences -1lb .1” shorter .2” wider

Lambofan35 Report post Posted June 22, 2017 I had r888 in 235/35/19 and 345/30/19 on awd lp640 I just sold and they were great. Traction was amazing. The new ones r888r are very pretty to! Great setup for stock wheels.
fastlane Report post Posted June 22, 2017 Why rwd only the fronts are .3 higher the rear are original size and .1 shorter there should not be a bigger enough difference to cause any problem with the 4 wheel drive system. Just normal ware can change height that much.
whiteout Report post Posted June 22, 2017 Threshold for the Murci AWD is a 1.161417" to 1.437008" difference in size between front and rear. The R888R have a difference of .9, so they won't work with the AWD system.

JonV8944s Report post Posted July 6, 2017 Couple of things Nick.... 1st you say OVERSTEER, and I am pretty sure you mean UNDERSTEER. (understeer is when you point the car in a direction in a turn and it wants to keep going straight. OVERSTEER, is when the ass end comes around on you when you turn in. The murci DEFINITELY UNDERSTEERS stock. The rears have Lots of tire contact patch and weight over them, holds them in place, front has little weight, and smaller patch so it pushes in turns. 2nd. You say the Rears are wider, but on your setup in that photo, they look noticeably more narrow ? I havent compared them to mine, but I too have begun the upgrade process to these wheels. I went 265 fronts (we arent positive yet that they will fit, but I feel very confident about it). Rears are the same 335 (boy i wish they would do a 345 or 355, oh well). Thanks, Jon
whiteout Report post Posted July 6, 2017 Dammit, yeah I meant understeer (i.e. pushing). The Pzero looks wider because it's sitting on a mat and the R is on the ground.

LW Lambo Report post Posted July 14, 2017 Another interesting thing about the R888R is that they are not unidirectional.
JonV8944s Report post Posted August 7, 2017 FYI, I finally have seat time and road time on the R88R, and I did 265 / 335 setup, but I agree with Nick ideally, you should do the 255/335 as there is some rubbing on my setup when the car is raised, but not in normal driving/lowered height. I could easily solve the problem by lowering my car more so that when its lifted, the clearances were bigger, but its not that bad that its even worth that effort. So go with 255 / 335 and you have nothing to worry about. The grip and performance is incredible, I highly recommend these tires!
