I just started looking for one and I’m getting conflicting information. Hoping you guys can set me straight.

1) Did all SE only come in kilometers? That is what one dealer told me.

2) Was the rear wing an option or standard?

3) pricing, I’m seeing prices anywhere from $395 to $650k. They all have similar mileage. What is the going rate?

4) Was there any options on these or did they come fully loaded?

Thanks

1) The odometre is in kilometres. The speedometre is either in both miles and kms or kms only.

2) Standard and in matching body colour of the car.

3) They only made 40 in total (technically 42); half in one colour, half in the other so basically it's at whatever price the seller says and/or whatever price the buyer is willing to pay.

4) No options were available. You either choose Oro Elios or Marrone Eklipsis for the colour and that's it.

I believe Roy has one of each color for sale.

Pretty sure all the North American and Japan cars came with the wing stock.

Not sure if Europe had the wing delete option or not.

I believe the last 3 produced were actually not gold or brown. They were delivered to the UK, and were Orange, Yellow and Black respectively AFAIK.

I'm sure someone with more specific knowledge can provide a bit more detail on this.

There are rumours that those cars were not numbered so, technically, while they may have identical specs, they aren’t officially 6.0SE’s. 100% sure that cars #37 and #40 left the factory in Marrone Eklipsis. I saw those cars IRL at an authorised dealership with their built sheets when they were brand new and I almost bought #40.

If these 3 cars are 6.0SE's in everything but in name (because of their colour) then what additional or different specifications/ features do they have when compared with a standard 6 litre?

Knowing this - I will be keeping my eye out to see if I can spot one of these 3 cars.

I have never actually seen in person a true 6.0SE in Oro Elios or Marrone Eklipsis. Does anyone know how many were delivered to the UK? If any were delivered were they RHD?

Seems like there is no written record anywhere that can prove or disprove the existence of these cars. I even asked Balboni in person and he claims that he does not know (no idea whether he was being polite and diplomatic or he truly does not know). But here are the difference between the 6.0SE and the regular 6.0:

-- all the carbon fibre parts have a silver/titanium weave in the pattern. That applies to both the exterior and interior*

-- the gauges; bezels, shifter and the shift gate are titanium (or at least in titanium finish)

-- the leather on the seats are perforated and the leather pattern is different

-- the seat backs have power recline

-- in addition to the CD changer, there is a NAV unit disc drive

-- the engine's valve cover is in magnesium and has a bronze-colour finish

-- the brake calipers' script says Lamborghini instead of Brembo**

-- the gearing ratio is slightly shortened

-- there is a number plate behind the driver's seat near the rear quarter window***

*while the factory parts for these are NLA, I know at least one person who has the exterior CF parts with special weave (he is/was a member here but is seldom online). He was listing them on eBay a while ago. So there is a possibility that a regular 6.0 can have these special CF parts.

**the Lamborghini script is from factory and the calipers are smooth to feel as opposing to Brembo calipers that were painted, having the Lamborghini script in decal applied and then clear-coated. One can feel the decal on the calipers. For aesthetics, many regular 6.0's have had this caliper "enhancement".

***not sure if this applies to the 3 cars in question though.

No idea how many were RHD and how many were imported to the UK. There is supposedly a registry for the 6.0SE but last time I checked it was quite out of date so I wouldn't rely on any of its data.

This is spectacular! Thank you! I’ve been casually looking at this era and this is very clear and helpful.

VCR is the man when it comes to facts about vintage Lamborghinis!

VCR is the man when it comes to many things, I am still not convince he’s completely human :turboalex:

Wow. VCR - thats some depth of knowledge. Thank you.

I shall look more closely at 6's in the future and see if I can spot one of the 3 anomaly cars. Not that 6's are seen that often over here. There are probably no more than 20 in the UK and they don't come out to play that often.

VCR is correct on his postings..a few additions however. USA 6.0SE cars had their ODO in miles not KMS. There are at least 3 Canadian cars here in the USA (SE cars). Same as USA cars as they were all homogenized. Some came with NAV and the early few did not. The 41,42 and 43 car did go to the UK and were different color. The second ghear is the shorter ratio "race gear". It is lighter then the standard 6.0 with weight saving items, not much, but it is.

I have 2 Brown in stock as well as 1 Gold in stock. I also have one of each in my own collection that is not for sale. I love the SE car. I think they are undervalued at this time. I am open to offers on either of mine.

The last one to sell was at auction earlier this year, low mile Brown, with fees just ticked over $422K

Roy, #42 is in LHD and in Oro Elios, one of the two original colours. I saw it at the Grand Giro; unless the owner had it repainted in OE.

Beautiful cars! Can I ask, what is the reason for the size of the price difference between the gold and the brown? No criticism implied here, they just both look awesome and I’m uninformed of the differences. Guessing gold is just rarer or its consignment?

I only see 1 brown on the website is there a new one coming up?

PS your team ROCKS, I inquired about a car this week on email and had a voicemail and an email sent back in record time and when I called back I got in touch immediately. Cusatomer service is top notch at your shop.

There are rumours that those cars were not numbered

I wont dispute that even for a second.

but i do recall there was a thread somewhere on the internet probably back around 2002-3 (maybe on F chat) where these 3 cars were actually discussed and photographs of them were in that thread. But i couldn't honestly tell you if they had numbered badges. Given that it was around 15 years ago my memory is not that good.

The only reason i can remember having looked up/read about them is that the 6.0 Is my favorite all time lamborghini, and I remember googling it back in my first home back in the old dial up internet days.

I had well over $75K put into the Gold one performance wise. It is one bad ass car. Dont need to sell it so it takes that money to buy it. Which I think its worth every penny of.

The second brown one may or may not go up on the site soon, we are working with a customer on it prior to listing it.
