  1. I'm also in Alberta with a home in Vegas. And you're absolutely right... Lots of friendly and helpful people in and around Vegas. Even simple things like service at Home Depot down there is beyond what I'd expect to get at Home Depot in Alberta. Be sure to try Cracked Egg when you're down there. The one on Green Valley Parkway is pretty good.
  2. Over the past year I have had service on my Gallardo done at Lambo Las Vegas for a number of things from detailing to my latest issue - A/C compressor and A/C fan servicing. I know some of the Lambo dealers out there don't go out of the way to please their customers but everytime I've needed something from Lambo Las Vegas they have gone that extra mile and has made even the servicing of the vehicle a pleasant experience. Due to work load up here, this summer I decided to bring the Gallardo from my Vegas home to my home in Canada. I ran into A/C issues - Compressor building too much pressure and the A/C condensor fan stopped working. With the closest Lambo dealership over 700 miles away I called Lambo Las Vegas on the A/C problem. They helped diagnose the problem and are even walking the local Audi dealership here through the service. My service advisor (Brett) even went into work on his day off before leaving on a trip to ensure that the package of parts for the A/C repair were ready for UPS pick up and delivery to me in Canada. If there was ever a perfect example of quality service this is it. Exceptional bunch of guys over there and something we really need to see more of in the Lambo community.
  3. I use mine all the time as well. Worth the step up from the 2004 models for sure in my opinion.
  4. I know you mentioned the battery has been changed already but thought I'd offer my 2 cents anyways. I had the exact same problem on my Gallardo. I thought it was heat soak on the starter since it was running through Vegas summer. I let the car cool overnight and it started no problem. Next day I went out for a spin and when I turned off the car same thing. I opened the engine cover etc etc and let it cool for almost an hour. Sat around twiddling my thumbs trying to explain to my gf that the Gallardo truly is a fun car to own despite this kick in the balls embarassment. Anyways... after everything was cooled right down I gave it several attempts. No luck. Finally figured it can't be heat soak. Next day brought the Lambo to the Penske Wynn Ferrari dealership at the Wynn. Lambo Las Vegas wasn't open yet (This happened during the transition from the Strip to Audi Henderson). Another embarassing experience going to an F car dealer with a Lambo. Luckily they were more than helpful and replaced the battery with an Optima red top. No problems since. Point is, the symptoms you described fit my experiences exactly and mine turned out to be the battery. Even though you changed the battery already are you sure you got a good replacement? Just a thought. Good luck!
  5. I see posts about coating the exhaust tips here and there. But I haven't seen anyone mention coatings like what Jet Hot offers. Anyone try this? If not, why hasn't anyone tried this?
  6. Hey Brett! Good to see you're active on the board. See you on the 25th. Can't wait to see the new dealership and get my car back with the LOC exhaust in!
  7. Rather than worrying about a leaking mirror you could always replace it with a non dimming mirror to save yourself from wondering if/when it will leak again and ruin the center console controls or nav / head unit. Just a thought.
  8. I researched for about 6 months and then actively searched for 8 months to find my G. During that time it was clear to me that basically you get what you pay for. If you want a "deal" then there are "deals" to be had but there is a price to pay - lack of proper care. Since you're spending as much as you are to get into an exotic don't be as much of a price shopper as you would normally be with a "normal" car. The world of exotic car ownership is a whole different ballgame and I know I was much happier paying in the higher end for a given model year to know the history and care that had gone into the car. Good luck with your search and enjoy it once you find the one you like.
  9. You imported your G into Canada? There's a huge debate in the Canada forum. Could you provide some insight?
  10. Great looking car! Enjoy it! I hope you sort out the 2k shake. For what it's worth, I have no shake on my '06 e-gear G.
  11. I would contact Rich at Penske Wynn. I recently had my SE serviced there. Great group of guys and very accomodating. Jose is a service tech there and has years of experience on the Lamborghini side. Tell them Sam with the Orange SE sent you to them. Good luck!
  12. DoctaM3 is completely right. I also have both. M6 coupe and Gallardo SE. The M6 is much more forgiving and comfortable for daily use. The G is purely for entertainment and a fun drive - not so much a commuter.
