  1. Super old bump but one of the 12 US '96 2WDs just went up for sale here: https://www.performanceautogallery.com/vehicle-details/1996-lamborghini-diablo-coupe-a913ead43028489480f33f88cb0705ae They incorrectly state it as 1 of 6 for the model year in the description. Nevertheless, a rare car. I think since I made this thread I've seen one other (yellow with an awful tan/black interior combo) come up for sale.
  2. Sweet ride ! Spoiler-delete from the factory, that has to be rare. Congrats !
  3. If you think suicide is a selfish act, please read these words by David Foster Wallace (whom also took his own life) on the "invisible agony" that is depression, and why some people contemplate, and go through with the act of suicide. It's beautifully enlightening for those of us who can't imagine taking our own lives: "The so-called ‘psychotically depressed’ person who tries to kill herself doesn’t do so out of quote ‘hopelessness’ or any abstract conviction that life’s assets and debits do not square. And surely not because death seems suddenly appealing. The person in whom its invisible agony reaches a certain unendurable level will kill herself the same way a trapped person will eventually jump from the window of a burning high-rise. Make no mistake about people who leap from burning windows. Their terror of falling from a great height is still just as great as it would be for you or me standing speculatively at the same window just checking out the view; i.e. the fear of falling remains a constant. The variable here is the other terror, the fire’s flames: when the flames get close enough, falling to death becomes the slightly less terrible of two terrors. It’s not desiring the fall; it’s terror of the flames. And yet nobody down on the sidewalk, looking up and yelling ‘Don’t!’ and ‘Hang on!’, can understand the jump. Not really. You’d have to have personally been trapped and felt flames to really understand a terror way beyond falling."
  4. Was just out in my friend's today-- bought it from Symbolic a couple of years ago now: http://symbolicinternational.com/vehicles/...560sec-6-0-amg/
  5. That's a record for a Diablo, no ?
  6. Tell me about it. You still thinking to hold out on buys until LTC @ <100, ETH <450, and BTC <16K ?
  7. Litecoin (up 31% today) and IOTA (up to $4.35 from $0.40 two weeks ago).
  8. What's everyone's feelings on ETH now ? I'm down for long-haul...
  9. Thanks for the responses. I think we all know you need to be a bit crazy to even go down the path of looking at something as esoteric as an Esprit. Thankfully, I have two independent Lotus specialists to choose from where I live so that side of things doesn't seem so daunting if everything checks out with the right car.
  10. Historically the Esprit has received a lot of love on this forum, and for good reason I think... it's a proper weirdo "car guy's car" which responds decently well to mods and it isn't as obvious as a Porsche or Ferrari. A thread hasn't been made about them in a while so I figured I'd start another one. At first a later model V8 seemed like the logical choice to go for but after doing some reading I'm really curious about the four-pot cars... an S4s just seems so "pure". Anyone have experience with them ? Anything crucial to look out for ? Been doing a bunch of reading and seems like extensive service history is essential, as with any exotic, and watch out for timing belts and ABS lights. Don't think I'd particularly mod the car beyond an exhaust to get it breathing (and sounding) better— what are the best systems for these cars ? Not many seem to creep up for sale, much less stellar examples, so I feel like I'm going to be waiting for the long haul for a perfect example to pop up... but if anyone also has any leads they would be much appreciated.
  11. Unicorn shit right there. If you're ever crazy enough to sell it, holler.
  12. Word. CGT @ $700K for 3K miles: http://www.naplesmotorsports.com/vehicle-d...282f01ac11bda4/
  13. CGT You already have a Murci it seems but, would you rock a Murcie SV ?
  14. I believe a fix for the often maligned brakes on pre-'97.5 Diablos is the "McLaren F1" Brembo big brake kit that many owners have retrofitted to their cars.
