  1. Sounds like i will be down in lincoln on the 4th to watch johny and varner play, if anyone wants to link up for some action?
  2. Poker has no more action than pool, same can be said of golf. but both get enough press, and interest in the public to justify televised events, as well as big sponsorship money. i think in today's day and age with internet, modern film (HD, and slow motion) you could get some interest i think. either way i will continue to try and get something going in my spare time. i stay pretty busy now a days but hopefully something in the fall would be nice. i will keep you all posted. In the mean time if any one is going through the midwest, omaha, lincoln, minneapolis st. paul area. hit me up and we'll hit a few. P.S. The place i shoot has mostly diamond tables. two 9' diamonds, one 9' gold crown. all 4.25" pockets. the other 10 diamond bar boxes. quite, low key, good action, and all semonis cloth!!!! i am quite spoiled.
  3. yeah, shane is friend's with eric. i don't know the guy, but my thought process is that if a guy that hooked up wanted to do something like this, he would have by now. i love the sport, and i also like to charity work when i can. my logic is that with an event like this everybody wins. i just hope i can get some traction with all of it. im in the process of finding a home for the event right now.
  4. I happen to shoot out of the same club as Shane Van Boening. We were talking last night at the pool hall about the various problems of why this sport doesn't really seem to catch on. there are far to many to list but we settled on a major theme, lack of a main stream exposer. we talked about various ways of curing this but settled on too things that would drastically help. here are the ideas. 1.) a "Color of Money" type movie. something that is well written, produced, etc. 2.) a celeb/ pro tournament. they do this in golf and it seems to help. the idea being a nationaly televised event to draw in interest. since neither of us has any pull on how to make and/or write a movie, # 2 is the target. Shane has agreed to rally up some pro's, and has put the other side in my hands. this being said, i was wondering if any one on here has put together a charity golf event or something similar? where did you start, who did you work with etc. i could also use a good cause to link up with. any and all help would be greatly appriciated.
  5. thanks guys, love the LP brotherhood!!!!
  6. 2010 started with a bang. That bang was the door closing as i was down sized at my old job. I had a few years under my belt, so it came out of no where for me. This, i guesse, was the last lesson i had to learn with this job. I took it pretty well I think. I hit the ground running looking for a new day to day, after about a month i found something. I hated it, but work is work, and gotta pay the bills. I started applying what I have picked up from this board, and other business owners around me. I started my own business!!! It wasnt much at first but my partner and i have been working it for all its worth. the 4th quarter was good to us and i am proud to say we posted our first substancial profit. i am busy, and and well on my way to my to that first lambo. I just wanted to say thanks to all the people here on LP for the inspiration and knowledge!!!!!!! I hope to be on here more often in the future. it's hard to find time for anything anymore!
  7. That car is still there. what's your real name?
  8. i think you misunderstand how a turbo works. 10 psi from the turbo on the left will be way different than 10psi on the right. plus when you factor in these are very well put together system (turbo sized optimum for application) you see these types of result. although i would agree still, those are huge jumps in power from 4psi up to 10.
  9. If a GTR and a Supra had an ugly baby it would look like this. the performanve seems to be there, but the car is rather ugly. + in that price range there are WAY better cars to be had;)
  10. is that SB or BB then. you can punch a SB all the way out to like 47x. the LSX motors have been seen in the 1500hp range all the time. and even in a some what streetable car. there is a guy here in town with stock casting 6.0 that was pushing well over 1000rwhp on e98. the LS motors are so simple, and so reliable. it is really hard to argue against the power it makes reliably. still don't like vettes much though;)
  11. been there and done it. Not so much fun, as much as holy shit i just saw my life flash before my eyes! very unsafe. you could actually feel the chasi flexing underneath you. did wheelies very easy though;) i'll see if i cant dig up some pics. It's about time they killed BB. LS motors are far superior. even in a tow rig, the BB is a thing of the past. Diesel or nothing for a tow rig.
  12. the thing that makes the Enzo so great, is that it is so understated. this blows all of that away and leaves this abortion gone wrong. RUINS one of very few cool ferraris.
  13. i love it as soon as they turn it into a 2dr like the other concepts.
