  1. To me, the Diablo is still the paradigm of the word Supercar, in spite of everything that has come out since.
  2. I think the comparatively high mileage in this particular car shows that either the car was well taken care of and its problems were dealt with and sorted, or this particular TVR was one of the more well built examples to roll off the production line. I still think the Sagaris is the TVR to own if you really do want to go down the TVR rabbit hole. Either way the car is undoubtedly a blast to drive when running properly and if the quoted power figures are indeed accurate I'm sure the car could keep up with some of the new exotics considering how light it is.
  3. You should look at the TVR Sagaris if you are really interested. I think it was TVR's last model, so probably the most well-sorted. Looks very aggressive and for sure looks like an exotic car. There are some companies in Britain that sort the cars out and tune them up a bit. The name Racing Green comes to mind. If you want a good laugh research the TVR Cerbera Speed 12. Was built to beat the McLaren F1, and probably would have if they had built a full street version. The car basically had two of TVR's inline 6's welded together. The car broke the company's 1000hp dyno during testing. The CEO drove the car home from work one day and said it was wayyyyy too fast for the street and they cancelled the production car.
  4. Would be interesting to see how a TT car would perform on a track in the hands of a pro driver. Which edition of the Gallardo was the most track-oriented? Squadra Corse? Been hearing a lot that the new Performante is going to have some serious track performance. Obviously there are more capable and focused track cars in this price range (could have a full-on GT3 car for the price of a Performante + turbo system) but showing up to a track day in a 1000+ hp Lambo would be quite a bit of fun.
  5. LOL well then I sincerely apologize for interrupting the circlejerk. Yes I agree talking shit and whatnot is often in the spirit of competition and there is nothing wrong with that. We're all grown men and hopefully know the saying "if you can't take the heat..." But I think lately people have been bypassing competitive back-and-forth and going straight to childish and pathetic bickering. You don't get bored with reading the same annoying nonsense over and over? Back on topic: anyone have more news on upcoming builds?
  6. Just trying to have a fun discussion. Half of the threads in the TT section lately have been users trolling and bashing tuning companies and other users. Thought I'd try to lighten things up.
  7. Thanks for the replies guys. My post focused on the SV instead of the normal Aventador a) because I hadn't heard of anyone building one so far and because I tend to like the more performance oriented versions of a car, for example SV vs Aventador, ACR vs normal viper, Plastic mess-06 vs Corvette. I'm sure the majority of you guys who post a lot in the TT threads agree with me. If these Lambo TT cars are the definition of bada$$ overkill, then the SV would set the golden standard. Well... along with the new Performante... So back to my original question, who's building a dark purple 2000hp Performante? edit: just realizing now that this forum autocorrects Z-0-6 to plastic mess-06. LOL.
  8. Anyone have one of these in the works/ know of any builds going on at the moment? Haven't seen too many TT examples of Lambo's flagship. I know there are a few Murcielagos and Aventadors running around but haven't heard of any builds in a while... Can one of you guys just man up and build a dark purple 2000hp SV already!? Looking forward to hearing any news
  9. Any updates!? I (and many others I'm sure) have been looking forward to the completion of this project for a while now. Very cool! Hope she's on the road soon!
  10. Those pipes will shoot some serious flames!
  11. I think the car looks pretty damn good. Unlike many of you, I think it does look better and a bit more cohesive than the 50th. I was wary after seeing the spy shots, but the Geneva pics look great. I am a bit disappointed that the SV namesake seems a bit watered-down, compared to the Murci SV for example which was definitely a more extreme evolution of the platform. However, design-wise the Aventador is a bit more extreme from the start than the Murci, so any visual changes seem a bit less dramatic. I love the wheels. I think the floor mats look pretty awful. Can't wait to see one in black.
  12. I'm pretty sure ###### is a fairly big name in the tuner crowd, and as such they definitely have experience with high hp turbo builds. They've been around for a while and have built some very fast cars. However, I have never heard of them doing any Lambos, but then again I never payed much attention.
  13. I have a feeling (despite having relatively few concrete details at the moment) that this car is going to be very, very good and that it will be the harbinger of a very strong era of American performance cars. I was thinking of this today after seeing the new Focus RS and looking at spy pics of the supposed mid-engine Corvette prototype. Good times for enthusiasts!
  14. TeamSalamone it sounds like in your case the SV will stand for Shiny Vinyl
  15. Very cool Roy! Do you by chance have the number of SV's that were ordered with the small wing? I'd imagine it's probably around 20-25 out of the 186 SV's produced.
