PCJR Report post Posted August 13, 2017 Any updates? Sold the car already. I did get a set of instructions also. The odd thing is that the collar that goes over the stock rear shock was too small in diameter once the dealer took it apart. So at this point I have the complete set of springs which are brand new but unsure if they are correct. Part numbers are correct so not sure what to do with them at this point. I also have the front and rear wheel spacers and longer wheel bolts If anybody is interested?? 11MM width per wheel and looked great on the car. whiteout Report post Posted August 13, 2017 Can't you just adjust the stock coilovers to lower the car?

PCJR Report post Posted August 16, 2017 Can't you just adjust the stock coilovers to lower the car? The rear is no problem as it has a fair amount of adjustment. it's the front which can only be adjusted down about 7-8mm. henry47 Report post Posted August 20, 2017 The rear is no problem as it has a fair amount of adjustment. it's the front which can only be adjusted down about 7-8mm. is this DIY-able with simple tools and a spanner wrench like on the gallardo or is it really labor intensive? i remembered lowering the gallardo only took 2-3 hours of my time. would love to be able to do this on my aventador. Is there any more info you can give me on lowering the stock suspension? I'd like to give it a shot pretty soon. Any help is appreciated! whiteout Report post Posted August 22, 2017 If the Aventador coilovers work like every other car (and they should) loosen the lower perch to elongate the spring and it will lower the car.

Yes the shocks/struts have the typical threaded body like any other coilover. I'll reach out to the tech that worked on it to ask him I'll reply back. Ok spoke to the tech that worked on mine. He used an XL pair of pliers to loosen the locking nut on the fronts. For the rears he used this:

PCJR Report post Posted August 29, 2017 awesome! thanks so much! do you remember how long it took for him to complete the adjustment? The adjustment time is not long at all, maybe two hrs max to adjust and check heights. The rears are easily accessible it's the fronts that are a pia. I removed the front trunk liner which took a little time to figure out. Going back in was much easier. I am going to advertise the Novitec wheel spacers & lug kit if anyone is interested. It definitely competes the look! My car picture attached, lowered with spacers.
