750 v 700

Any SV owners jumped back into a standard car for a drive? I did that the other day and holy crap! I could not believe how floppy and boat like the standard car felt. And it was noticeably slower. Maybe because it could not put the power down properly and she was confidence sapping.

I kept thinking constantly "this car is a POS in comparison with the SV!"

It was a 2013.

 

Interesting i keep thinking they are the same, but sv better gearbox and harder suspension.

 

In my mind there is not much in it, maybe there is, should really try one might make me fee better that SV really is the one.

Considering you OWN a SV it would of been surprising if that hadn't been your observation.

I have a Aventador Roadster. Its maybe worth $375k Is the difference between a SV Roadster vs my car worth $200k? Is the SV $200k better? To some yes. To be, couldn't be.

Let me put it this way. I never considered buying an Aventador as I thought the asking price was not worth the car she was. To me, she was just a more sterile Murcie, and I never liked the Murcie. But the SV is most definitely worth the asking price and driving the older car again after I spent 4,000km in my SV so far, solidified my opinion.

 

Forget about the acceleration, the older car felt like it was wallowing around, not sure of itself and it did not make me feel confident. The SV is intuitive in its responses. I've always said the SV feels like a giant, superfast Elise.

I have a brand new 2014 Aven Roadster back in 2014. If you go back to my review of my new car at that time, you'll see that I shared the Aven Roadster shifts like a grandma even in Corsa.

 

Shoot, even the LP570 Gallardo Superleggera drives more nimble and more responsive than my Aven Roadster.

 

I have not driven the SV Roadster yet since my will be arriving in two weeks, but I can't wait to drive her in Corsa and I'll share some of my feedbacks.

I never drove a 700 after but I drove one before, after the drive I wanted to cancel the SV order, I really didn't enjoy it but the looks of the SV sealed the deal for me and I retained the order and I am glad I did because the SV is an absolute beast in comparison and I love every minute of it, to me it is worth the additional money without a shadow of a doubt.

I agree with your assessment, I was comparing the 700 with the LP570 and that's what put me off the 700.

 

I personally like the feel of the smaller cars, the SV is very close to it but it's still hard for it to "hide" its size, I can not wait for the Huracan Performante, that's where it's at for me

I haven't driven a 700 after owning a SV but I bet it would be a bad experience. I was blown away by how much more the SV was sorted. All the stuff that I didn't like in an Aventador, they fixed in the SV.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I drove 700 on the track at the end of the SV event in Barcelona. It was much worse than SV on the track. But as a daily driver I prefer 700 as it is more comfortable and at lower speeds the drive is ok. The shifts are much better in the SV though. I heard they are even better in the S although the gearbox is still the same

Never driven the 750SV but my car sure does feel more responsive and robust after doing the factory 'sound tuning package'

I love the way my car feels now. Getting back into my dad in laws 700 and right away I can feel it feels sleepier.
