Smash Boy Report post Posted September 3, 2017 Quality period piece of the late '70s to mid '80s CIA interactions with Nicaragua and the Escobar side story via hot shot pilot Barry Seal. It has very much the feel of Goodfellas in the storytelling and film techniques (flashbacks, freeze frames, voice overs, fast pace). Cruise did a decent job in it. Kinda funny seeing him go in and out of his southern accent to that classic voice of his. Perhaps a few liberties were taken for fiction, but overall thought it was entertaining.
