IanMan Report post Posted June 25, 2017 I could be wrong, but I've read that at least in a couple cars the DCT they were fitted with were heavier than the previosl single clutch. Just my two cents. ALSO.... Don't forget, you can weight the two if you absolutely are concerned with weight. Dragtimes published a video on how he bought scales to weight his cars precisely. All things being equal...I'm sure the single clutch weighs more than the DCT. But I'm also pretty sure that that DCT more than makes up for any weight penalty in shift times. Hell....it's prolly the biggest reason why duhawks lost to lambda lambda lambda and the lambda lambda lambda and the omega mu mu at TI, no? duhawks Report post Posted June 25, 2017 My 570 weighed like 3,400 lbs with no driver and a bolt on kit. My stock 2011 R8 weighed 3625 with no driver. I believe the 17 huracan and r8 are in the 3600 range. I never weighed my R8 GT, if I had to guess it would be 3500. I think the 14 r8 is in the 3600 range also. 17 r8 all day. Has the better AWD, electronics, and etc.
duhawks Report post Posted June 25, 2017 You could change the seats out in a R8 and save like 100-170lbs. Those things are heavy! I know in the older R8s they have a heavy battery also.

LeoMiami Report post Posted June 26, 2017 I Think the 14 also has the DCT I'm not 100% but I think the DCT is not the same as the new generation... I hear the electronics are different.
