  1. Hi, I am trying to find someone good to work on my Gallardo close to Boca Raton other than the dealership. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks a lot, Scot
  2. Hi, I have the same exact noise. I start my car and after about 10 seconds there is a load buzzing sound and it goes away after the engine gets warm. I am interested to know the solution to this . Scot
  3. Hi, My 2004 Gallardo makes a load buzzing sound from the engine that starts 15 seconds after a cold start. It comes from the left rear behind the drivers side. It stays like that for about 5 minutes and then disappears. Once the car is warmed up and the buzzing stops you can stop the engine and then restart it and it wont buzz anymore. Does anyone know what the deal is with this buzzing sound? Is it normal? I am not talking about the little sound it makes after you open the drivers side door. I am talking about a loud buzzing that starts 15 seconds after cold start and builds to a crescendo at about 25 seconds after the cold start. I tried to attach an audio file just in case anyone wanted to hear what it sounds like but it would not upload. Thanks Scot
  4. Thanks a lot GASMAN. I sent away to AZFERRARI for his special tool. I am going to buy those rhino ramps and soon I will be in business to change my own oil! Scot
  5. Ok Jeff, Im sending you a check for that wrench. And I will get those Rhino ramps. Thanks, Scot
  6. Hi Blackbull, Do you do your own maintenance? If so where do you do it? Scot
  7. Thanks for responding. How do you know if it has been cleaned properly? The way he cleaned it was he took out the filter and wiped out the oil from the inside with a rag. He did not wipe inside the tubes. Should he have done that? If there is residual oil in there can it light on fire and cause damage? Judging by your response it looks like I will need to have the oil changed again since only six of the liters have been changed out and 4 1/2 of the old oil remains. Should I do this immediately?
  8. Hi Everyone, This is my first time posting on this board. I have a 2004 E-gear Gallardo with 18,000 miles. I bought it used with 15,000 miles on it. It had its 15,000 mile service done at 13,500 miles at Lamborghini along with the clutch changed. It has been problem free for me so far and I have really enjoyed it. I drive it every day as a regular car. Being time for the oil change I looked at all my options and thought that the best option was to do it myself. I had contacted Jeff in order to purchase one of his Gallardo oil filter wrenchs. He was nice enough to respond to me very quickly. Unfortunately I was unable to find a place where I could have the car lifted in order to enable me to change the oil. I was forced to bring it to a place where they changed the oil for me. It was a place that was connected to a dealership that sells Ferrari's and Lamborghini's etc..... They told me that they service them all the time. On the phone the guy told me he had the wrench and told me he knew all about it. When I got there I watched him lift the car up and drain out oil from one spot. I told him that I understood there to be two separate places to drain oil. He told me that you only drain oil from one spot then he then got on the phone and contacted lamborghini. They told him that you only drain out the oil from one spot and leave the second spot closed. This leaves a good portion of the old used oil still in the car to mix with the new oil. After draining out the oil he added new oil. The car only took 6 liters. He then ran the engine, checked the dipstick and found there to be too much oil. He then had to suck out about a liter. We then checked the air filters and found that the oil had blown back somehow into the air filter on the left. So then he had to clean it out and change the air filter. I spent about $400 and I am not certain that the oil change has been done sufficiently. Does anyone have any advise for me? Thanks Scot
