  1. All I can say is this car was imported in 86 as an 86. I believe this is in fact an 85 with its FLA vin number. Seems to have a lamborghini gearbox instead of the ZF. Hopefully one day people realize an 85 downdraft with a lambo tranny is really worth something. Really runs great but needs some help. I am pretty sure this black on black downdraft will stay in our stable forever......... the question is, do we de-wing the thing.
  2. Some new pictures of said DD.
  3. Build numbers on downdrafts anyone????
  4. Anyone know accurate build numbers for DD cars?? I know there were 650 QV's or so but how many were DD? I heard once as low as 120.
  5. This thing has 16,000 miles all original, books tools, engine was never opened. I think this car will go up in value fast over the coming years. Very very fun to drive. The paint is the biggest issue. I'm not sure if it can be saved we just want to bring it to the best guy. I would like to know more about Tony. I live in new jersey.
  6. We have had this car since 1997 and are wondering the best, honest, smartest mechanic for these cars out there. It is a totally original imported car from 1985 as an 86 model. Black on Black with paint issues. We have though about selling it but it is just to special, we want to make it perfect. Any help would be great. What do people think of George Evans??
  7. Why does my downdraft have a FLA instead of the GLA I am seeing in my VIN number. I am new, 86 blk/blk downdraft. Greatest car in our collection Oh that sound and no one knows how fast they really can be set up.
