Not sure if it is the right "zonë" to post but I gotta share this rare find.

Balboni inspected!

"The future of Lamborghini was unveiled at the 1971 Geneva Auto Show with the first public display of the new Countach. The car’s dramatic styling with its trademark scissor doors and low, angular, wedge-shaped body left all onlookers speechless. These first LP400 Countachs however stunning in their design provided virtually no rearward visibility; a periscope-type rear-view mirror was added, lending the name “Periscopo” to the initial Countach series. Just 150 examples of the LP400 were built before the introduction of the LP400S in 1978."

This LP400 Countach received a two year restoration completed by marque specialist Ultimate Motorcars supposedly the oldest Lamborghini dealership in the United States?

During the restoration process, V.Balboni inspected this LP 400 on two occasions and a letter from him, attesting to the quality and accuracy of the restoration, is included in the history file. This countach is actually up for sale.

Heres the Link:

I personally was able to see this LP400 during it's restoration toward the end, the Countach had been painted and was being reassembled, a magnificant car to say the least. The restoration facility was like a palace it was so clean..

Cheers,

Will

I was told by several that it is a sub par restoration or not to original specs...therefore overpriced.

Sub par as in low quality, or sub par because it wasn't to 100% original specs? Please elaborate.

there was a ton of discussion on this car a year or two ago... seems many thought that several details were not to original spec iirc
