SV throttle tip-in

Hey all. I have about 1,000 miles on my 17 SV. Upgraded from a 15 Huracan and overall very happy going V12.

My SV has always had an audible click at the very start of throttle tip in. It sounds like an electro-mechanical switch in the throttle pedal assembly. My dealer's service director says he thinks its normal. The sound is a little weird but the annoying thing is how the car often jerks both tipping in and tipping out of throttle - with click noise both ways. Would love to hear if anyone else is or (hopefully) is not experiencing this.

I drive in Corsa mode and the car was flashed with the factory SW update a couple months ago. I also have the factory race exhaust (in case that SW makes a difference....)

No SV here. But the accelerator pedal is simply a switch. However it's not on/off in reference to the click. I'm sure you understand that.

In sport or corsa, the car can be a little lurchy ... it's a charastic of the single clutch trans.

I would have the service manager sit in another aventador with you present. If the noise is not there , request they replace your accclerator pedal assly.

AFAIK, all Aventadors have that clicking sound; all mine have it; some seem louder than the other though. I am a bit disturbed that your dealer’s service director “thinks” it’s normal; shouldn’t he know better given his position?

Driving in Corsa will result in the jerky motion; it’s inherent for Corsa mode. Try Stada and Sports mode to reduce the jerkiness. Keep in mind that you came from the H’s DCT to the A-SV’s ISR, the feel will be very different from each other.

Interesting screen name, are you Japanese?

That's a good idea. I'll re-visit the issue next time I am at the dealer and report back.

It will occasionally lurch if the engine load is light and RPMs are too low (say turning a corner in traffic), but I've owned plenty of manual transmission cars that would do the same. That I can work around. This click-jerk (or lurch) feels different. I might try to post a video.

That's what my service director said, although I gathered my throttle might be louder than most. I'll try to post a video.

I'm not Japanese but I've worked in Japan and always found that product name funny. :)

Thanks for the reply and fair enough. :)

Yes, plenty of Japanese product names get lost in translation. There was a dairy product powder call "Puke" and one of the drugstore chains is called "Colon Booth". :icon_mrgreen:

Lol, I’ve noticed lots of those strange names while in Japan.
