Anyone got any pics of skid plates fitted to an LP640? I'm keen to see if fitting skid plates spoils the look of the car.

The lift is fine for driveways etc but not much good when hitting dips in the road at speed. :o

Don't have photos but Dave at Premier in L.A. makes the best OEM looking skid plates on the market. I have them on all my cars. Ferrari of OC installs them on all new Ferraris as part of their PDI process. I have them on my Murcie. They wrap all the way around the underside of the lip and follow the contour exactly (which is why they look factory installed). Call Dave at Premier at 310-559-1562. He might have some photos or at least will be able to talk to you about them.

I need these

At least once in every drive I leave about $500 of carbon fiber on the road.

Its a toss up when I see a bump in the road, do I jam on the brakes and risk a rear ender or grit my teeth put my fingers in my ears and hope for the best.

Just call Dave at the number I listed in post #3. He is a very friendly guy and his skid plates are second to none. Trust me! I'm as anal as they get and I have his skid plates on all my cars! They are a PERFECT fit and engineered very well. I was able to bolt them on my Stradale by myself but I also have a lift in my garage. The body shop installed the ones on my Murcielago since I was having the front bumper resprayed from rock chips so I cannot say whether or not it's as easy as the Stradale was.

Isit a bolt on or do they have to drill holes?

:eusa_think:

I have already bottomed out on my spoiler a few times, is this worth getting?

Yes! You have just answered yourself. This is why you should get it.

Point being damage is already done, gettting it after the fact is rather pointless..

Also this item only covers a portion of the front spoiler where as damage is done all along the spoiler, not only the edges. Or does it do the job?

All of us have some damage to the underside of the spoiler. That's why we want a skidplate - to stop more damage.

By the look of it, it covers the entire bottom of the lower LP spoiler and all the standard Murci spoiler. The centre section of the LP spoiler is plenty high enough to avoid contact; it is the lower lip that need help.

I'll let you know if it works when mine arrives. :)

Why not have your front spoiler fixed and than add this skid plate, I'm sure it would do some good. The surface of your front spoiler is flat so if the skid plate does the job, it should work all the way
