  1. Is Bob Helms car the black 2008 Super G? What gear box is he running in his car?
  2. This seems like a very nice package. Just curious Kevin. Could this set up be used on a road course for fun (not a serious track car) and not over heat rapidly? How efficient is the cooling at these power levels? Thanks. Car looks great...
  3. Thanks Hollywood, What is your experience with this business? Looks like a great shop. Thanks
  4. Hello guys, Does anyone know of a reputable person or business that can perform a PPI on a 2008 Super G in Dallas Texas. Thanks
  5. Great information guys. I really appreciate the advice and opinions. Just curious how long does the average clutch last? Is replacement cost around 5K? Plus what are the top of line manufactures of exhaust for these cars? Thanks guys Great forum....
  6. Thanks Fortis, definitely a great body style. Appreciate the thoughts TwinV10. Glad your're enjoying yours. I'm reading a lot of positive responses which is what I wanted to hear. Thank you..
  7. Hello Guys, Looking at a 2008 Super G with only 2600 miles. Beautiful car. I was hoping to get some opinions about this model year and what to look for. I believe the 2009 Gallardos and up have the revised E Gear. Not sure though. anything to consider with such low mileage? Car is an one owner. Thanks guys,
  8. Happy to see these R8's starting to go into these TT builds. I wanted to get your thoughts comparing the different transmissions and what you guys believe is a more durable ,easier to maintain R8 transmission. I'm getting closer to pull the trigger on a very nice blue six speed with only 2000 miles on it . What is your impression about the six speeds vs E gear? Less parts to make the six speed trans stronger? Just curious of what a guy would say that would have driven both set ups. Thanks
  9. Thanks oufan, I assumed in the 3's Hey duhawks, no race set up. I was just curious about the package. They interest me and I'm searching for either an R8 or Gallardo . I recall a race between an Ivey Alpha 16 and a yellow super g where they said the lambo was a 1R. The lambo really pulled on the GTR pretty bad. Now I may be wrong but I just saw a yellow 2R on ebay that looks like the same car. I was wondering if it's the same car. Any good videos of 1R's floating around
  10. Trying to learn more about these 1R's Anybody own a 1R and what are the 60 to 130 times on race fuel? Are they around 1600 whp? Thanks guys
  11. Hey JK79, This car is stunning. The 2R would be my dream but a little too much for me. I also like going through the build process. A fresh build is what I envision. I'm thinking a stage 3 or 1R for me. But I have to find a car first. Today I test drove the Gallardo for the first time. I have to be honest the E gear was somewhat disappointing ( especially coming from a GTR) but I can get used to it. Also this was the first E gear I was ever in and I don't have any other Gallardos to compare this to. A different year or even a different 2008 could react differently. This 2008 though only has 2400 miles so I assume its working as intended. The car seems to buck at low speeds but I can tell once the rpms are higher the transmission changes gears better. I'm still curious to know if UGR prefers the six speeds or the E gears for the Twin Turbo packages. Not sure.... Thanks for the reply though, take care....
  12. Hello guys, Looking for my first Gallardo. This 2008 is actually being sold right up the road from me. I saw the car in person today and I must say I am very impressed with the condition of the car. It only has 2500 miles on it and the white pearl paint looks amazing in person. The wheels wells and front bumper , and underneath the car look to be in outstanding shape. Front bumper air intakes where there are two coolers have no signs of rock chips or anything. What do you guys think? Anything that I should make sure to look for with the 2008's? I really like the car. My plans are to enjoy if for a bit and then send it to UGR. Its a E gear car Are the six speeds better to twin turbo than the E gears? http://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/611222837/overview/ Thank you
  13. What do you guys think , or have been told. Are the six speeds better to twin turbo for roll racing rather than the E gears? Also now that the dual clutch pluses are out how are these taking the additional power. I own a 800hp GTR and have a great opportunity to purchase my friends R8 manual. I would love to jump into the R8 TT world now. Also I agree that the R8 has a little bit better driving position than the Gallardos for a slighter bigger guy.
