Anybody from Vegas who can recommend a good Lawyer? Lamborghini Vegas is unbelievable

So... I was at Lamborghini Las Vegas some weeks back. I agreed to buy a car, paid a credit card deposit and left. Sent them a wire for the balance.

Turns out later this supposedly brand new car is a 'demo' car - which wasn't disclosed at the point of the negotiations and it was represented as a new car.

The sales guy insists there's no difference so the lack of disclosure makes no difference. I think there's a difference between a demo car and a new car, but hey, what do I know.

So I politely request to void the transaction. They 'agree' albeit reluctantly, and they make the refund to my credit card (just $30K), but today, weeks later they still won't send me back my wire. It's new excuse after excuse everyday. Management not around, wire needs double approval, sales guy on holiday, accounts girl gone home for the day.. the list goes on.

So... I'm tired of these clowns and having to call them daily to hear yet another new excuse. Anybody from Vegas who can recommend a good lawyer? Would be very grateful.

Wow - so sorry to hear. Surprising a legitimate dealer would pull this type of BS.

Hoping you get a fast and simple resolution.

As for new versus demo - in addition to the miles and usage, wear, tear - they usually click the warranty on day one of the demo usage so you would receive less warranty unless they were willing to extend it - but that may not be possible.

Very unprofessional and unethical to present a demo car as new.

I don't know 100% how lambo is structured now with Audi, but I'd get in contact with the head lambo off in the USA and let them know the situation.

I had 2 deposits on 2 SV's with a dealer, and goy them back instantly. No questions. Timing was bad for me. Dealer was 1111000000% honorable. Back east is where they are at, great dealer,

I'm from Vegas, however last few years I've been in la mostly. I've never bought cars in vegas(a couple Bentley's & a few Benz for employees) car dealers there are pricks because your trapped, there's nothing but rocks for 300 miles any direction you go. So they bend you over, games(your case)

Even worse are the lawyers there. Which is why I suggested lambo corporate.

Pm me who you dealt with. That mite help, shoot me your phone as well, I still have biz and property in vegas, been tied in there since 91.

Can't promise I can fix it, can promise to help

Best

Eric

There is definitely wear and tear on demo cars. They usually have a few thousand miles and are sold as used cars.

Never wire funds until you are ready to pick up the car. I usually do a cashiers or personal check instead.

Thanks Cake. I probably wouldn't have minded if he had just disclosed it was a demo (miles were very low).

It's just a shame that he felt the need to withhold that fact. What a colossal waste of time on something that was just meant for fun.

Hey Eric, how's it going?

Thanks for the advice. I'm not from Vegas actually! Hope all is well if you have biz/property/fam in Vegas.

I'll shoot you a PM.

Yeah I'm from out of state though, and I didn't think that any official dealer would represent a car other than what it was.

Why bother? The client is always going to want to cancel after anyway right?? Or maybe times are bad and this is the best way to move cars :/

So was the car sent to them as a "demo" but never actually used as a demo? 50 miles doesn't seem like a demo car. And was it the Blue Aventador S?

The "problem" with a demo car, and the reason they had to disclose it as such, isn't the mileage. It is the fact that they have to punch the warranty when they make it a demo. So if they have had the car for 3-6 months, you are out the warranty for that period. The mileage is the other part, but this car doesn't seem to have any according to the OP. The warranty would affect the negotiation, obviously.

Hope you get it resolved.

Damn man. That sucks. We should send Lyingfapper to Vegas to talk to them. They’ll refund your money and more after 15 minutes of dealing with him.

I’ve heard Tom Brazil is a total cunt to work with. Shame it had to take more bad reviews on this board to get any action out of them. Have had several owners tell me they’ll never deal with Lambo Las Vegas again after similar experiences with bad customer service with this particular dealer. Shame they can take something that is supposed to be fun and make it a shitty experience

I know Tom well. He has has been around Vegas selling cars since the beginning of time.

I've heard the same-he can be a cunt(I think that's age related) however I've done several deals with him and referred biz to him over the years(I haven't done a deal with him in 8-9?) years, but I personally never had a problem with him. He just likes to play softball and does his car thing. At one time back in the 80's he sold every Rolls & Bentley that came into Vegas. He knew alll the old school mob guys, celebs, boxers, everything Vegas. He got fucked on that gig when the dealership went under. He bounced around for years after. He had his client book and if you were in that book-it was good(great deals). I was in it, got in it late tho. He was a broker with contacts for new cars, he was way back of retail on his pricing. It was like concierge car buying. He did that for years. When I met him.

So while I've heard what I mentioned, I personally haven't had a issue with him. Last time I spoke to him maybe 3-4 years ago was same old thing, he was going to play softball and his knees hurt.

I can't throw Tom under the bus, based on what I've heard. I will stand for him based on my deals with him and referrals. Maybe 10-12 cars over the year, mostly referrals. Back before everyone and their cousin had a Rolls or Bentley and they were a big thing.

That’s terrible, buying a new car should be an enjoyable experience not a nightmare, I hope everything will turn out well for you.

Thanks everybody for the replies and help - much appreciated!

Yes, it was Tom who did the deal and didn't do the disclosure. I don't know about the warranty because I never asked and he didn't say.

When it was subsequently shown to be a demo car (it was a tiny box ticked on the sales form), I declined to purchase because I felt it was inappropriate that it was represented as a new car.

As the same with most of my deals I did the deal just based off a handshake and gentlemen's agreement. It's too bad I wasn't afforded the same graciousness from the dealership but I will give them the benefit of the doubt at this juncture and assume they actually thought it made no difference. Perhaps!

Brian sorted it out for me and I got my wire refund today (finally). Thank you kind sir!

And on that note : does anybody have a car for sale??? :)

I have delivered all my Lamborghinis but one through Tom at Lambo Las Vegas and have had nothing but a great experience. They have bent over backwards on deals and to resolve the couple of minor issues I had. I can't say anything but good things about Tom and Sorina.

Sorry the deal went the way it did but sounds like it is resolved.

Demos have the chance at being low mileage or beat to hell and put away wet kind of rides. What kind was this one?

That's what I was wondering too... With only 50 miles, how many miles did they demo it? A new one comes with 20-40 miles anyway.

Is there any record of it being a demo down the road?

I got duped when i bought my current car. was suppose to be a 3 owner car, but just as i was going to register it the story changed. Ended up being a 5 owner and a former US car. Reason being the 1st owner took the car to the US from Canada registered it there lived there for a couple tears amd then came back and reregistered it in Canada. Its not such a big problem but it is a stain on the ownership now being a 6 owner car. Mostly it just left me with a bad taste in my mouth on day of registeration.

It was low mileage just 50 miles.

Having said that, the price he gave was exactly the same as a new one - called a couple of dealers and they gave the exact same discount for new cars.

I don't have a problem with a low mileage demo car. Just had an issue with the fact that it should have been disclosed prior to taking my money, that's all!

Did you buy it privately? Already paid for it at the point of registration?
