Repainting my 6.0 wheels.

Here are a couple of pictures of my 6.0 wheels being repainted. I'm going with black chrome. The work is being done at Driven Exotics. I'll post more pictures as along the way. You can see the custom stand Steve built to facilitate painting wheels. You can also see only three wheels. Turns out I had a flat spot on one of my front wheels so we're waiting for a replacement to arrive.

I love seeing the stuff that this shop does. They really seem to do it all! I loved their blue Diablo 6.0. that thing was gorgeous!

Love your wheels, man!

Surprised a wheel was bad but nice to have a replacement and in progress

The bad wheel appears to have been mangled by a careless mechanic with a wheel bead breaker. The flat spot was minor, but since a replacement was available it seemed the way to go. I'll have a spare for the days they become unobtanium.

Can't wait to see when it's all done! Are you gonna have both sets mounted with tires so you can swap them easily whenever you feel the need?

Put them on the car today and took some quick pictures in front of the house. Perfect! The black chrome doesn't hide the features of the wheels like pure black does.

When I bought my car I didn't like how the silver 6.0 wheels looked with my silver car. I put on the black Hercules wheels within a few weeks. Initially I really liked the look of the Hercules wheels. But over time I knew that the 6.0 wheels belonged on the car. Beautiful flowing design to match the shape of the car.

A big thanks to Steve and Joe at Driven Exotics!

That looks really good! Also like the personal touches you added --- engine cover, rear-lights surrounds, the mirror caps, the door handles and push button surrounds. :icon_thumleft:

BTW, I was eyeballing your V.I. 6.0 yesterday. There may be some drool on it when you get it back!

:icon_thumleft: ... can't wait until it gets back!

I do have the black and gray interior. The two tone interior was the reason I choose this car over another silver 6.0 for sale at the time.

I 2nd the motion to remove the rear bumper!

Not going to happen. 6.0 is too slick for such an abrupt ending. I wouldn't even put a SVR bumper on my 6.0. Maybe a GT rear bumper.

Definitely agree. I prefer the bumper on.

I have to agree with both of you. the rear bumperless look just comes off as a hack job mod to me. Just doesnt look right and distorts the lines of the car imho.
