Has anyone in the US had a Performante delivered yet? Otherwise, any information about delivery timelines? Had my allocation for a while and supposedly it's in production.

I do believe there will be deliveries next week.

Are you serious? Not that I heard....they were all pushed to September, per my manager.

Mine is supposed to be delivered in September....

Most dealers in the US haven't received their demos yet.My dealer gets their demo Aug 26 .From a reliable source there won't be any customer cars until sometime mid to late sept.

First off, if that's the case, would love to see pics! and congrats to first delivery in U.S.

Secondly, I'm gonna crap on my dealer if he didn't tell me the truth

I was told today that the deliveries were pushed back because of some issue with the forge carbon, not quality issues but rather longer production times.

No idea on US but UK cars are coming in, know a couple of people that have had them 2 weeks

I spoke to my factory sources at Pebble. Only 10 cars delivered in Europe so far--those are customers out the door. All other are dealer demo. US demo have not arrived. Cars you see at places like Broward etc are factory cars.

Dealer demos dont arrive until early Sept might be last few days of Aug). First US customer cars in mid-Sept if air freight, otherwise, October by sea. Factory does not re-open until first week in September so I doubt customer cars are here before demos in US but it will be interesting to see how this develops.

amen

I wouldn't be surprised if this guy is getting his stores "demo" as his car. That happens quite a bit. As for the dealer lying, one of the things that happened when I was ordering cars was they got made out of order. It wasn't because they wanted to mess up my order base, but they make the chassis and then paint them in a certain order. They may for example have painted yellow chassis' first, so they will attempt to make yellow cars first. The chassis (at least how it used to work) would be painted and left on pallets in the back of the factory. They would pull them down and build them. It may be different now, and to a degree I am sure it is, but I am sure it plays some small role in how they roll off the line. They also give build slots to the stores, to which they assign customers (or what they used to call "players"), that had a certain date range attached to them (like week 32 or something like that).

Its been a while, so don't take my info as law, but there is a bit of an enigma wrapped in a riddle with how those things pop off the production line, and their system is likely far less archaic than it used to be.

I hear the all performantes are being held at ports awaiting Carb approval.

Anyone else heard this storyline? Supposedly the gov is dragging their feet because of the vw diesel scandal.

Have I mentioned how much I dislike greenies ? :icon_mrgreen:

A bit OT but here's a better one yet (or worse, subject to one's perspective): part of the latest "campaign" (recall) for the Aventador involves placing a sticker on the gas cover informing what type of gasoline should be used for the car. Now why would anyone who drives an A be feeding it inferior-grade gas?
