  1. 100% vouch for the quality of Whiteout's kit. Had it on my 04 Murci and it transformed the car for the better. All parts are top notch and it is a clean, reversible install. I do recommend a big brake kit as you will notice extended braking distances after the conversion.
  2. If there is an alarm, make sure the red light is not lit before turning the key (press unlock on fob if it is lit). I've also seen several Diablo owners turn their on then off then on, four cycles, then ignition. I dunno if it's an electrical contact issue or just voodoo. PS Optima batteries are junk and do not fare well in exotics or other vehicles that do not see daily use. If you do use the optima do not charge it with the regular battery setting on that ctek. Use the winter storage mode only on the optima. I've read that the ctek can kill an optima in that full charge mode. (i use a ctek, winter mode on all batteries... It's better for the cells to trickle charge)
  3. Good luck Dave! It's been great working with you on my car mods! Looking forward to when our paths cross again.
  4. Paint shop historically has not moved that quick so I doubt it will be ready by then. I'm aiming for the October mile event if I can maintain wife approval levels.
  5. No sweat. Perhaps Taylor was meeting a client to show off the build? That would be my guess. I said that was fine to do. Taylor asked a hundred times to make sure I was cool with him using the car to demo. So it doesn't surprise me that it has made an appearance somewhere in his neighborhood. I trust Taylor implicitly with my car. He built it! I see why the opinion is what it is about the kits looking similar, but when you see how things are installed...when you see more than just what is exposed with the engine cover up and parts are laying side by side on a workbench, they couldn't be more different.
  6. I actually do like most of their stuff. Looking forward to the Streets 2013 DVD. No BS. Just racing. Hopefully the Louisiana Lambo crew will make it out next year. Now we just need to find Rohan a car!!
  7. After watching those videos I feel more like I need a trip to the clinic.
  8. Yes Taylor put in a LOT of work to do some custom support. But we ended up learning a ton about the DMC kit. Now DMC sends people to Dallas Performance for installs. I'm not sure who DMC has to make their stuff. Greg Scho, their CEO, told me it is done out of Germany. I watched the shipping logs of the items from material to assembly to delivery and everything was in Germany for about 4 weeks then went through a distribution center out of Honk Kong in about four days. I wanted to make sure they weren't outsourcing and it looks like they are building stuff in-country at least. It looks fantastic though!
  9. Ya the newer stuff I'm guessing prob doesn't need it. But I just have trouble believing it. It's mechanical. It moves. It needs to be broken in. LOL Maybe not anymore. Tough habit to break though. I still change my oil after the first 1000 miles of new car ownership too. Prob don't need to. But I can't help it. I agree about the wing and the Mile event. At least 0 it out. You mean Thiago's car? I still haven't had a chance to lay eyes on it yet. Do you know who makes the wing and engine cover for his? Mine is DMC. I'm interested to see how his installs compared to mine. Taylor had to do a bit of custom work to make it right, but it came out perfect. Really love those parts.
  10. Those are my words. And my practices. It was a new setup. Taylor told me to enjoy it. I took it easy. I come from a time when these things needed to be broken in. Maybe they don't anymore. Better safe than sorry. Gonna take a break from this thread and go watch some videos of a ratty porn star trying to reach for a hundred dollar bill during a Gallardo launch ... Busy day!
  11. Ok...not sure if this is my friend Kisco I speak to on other forums or a differnet one. If it is, I'm not sure where this is all coming from? But to address you concern, I mentioned above that I offered to Taylor to show off the car, use it to demo the kit, etc, while he has it. So I'm unclear where your comments are coming from. Why would I be pissed? I'm glad he was able to bring it out
  12. Yes, because I didn't know Taylor had brought it. There is another big-winged yellow G running around Texas. But glad to hear it made an appearance. It's an incredible kit and a good example of the work. Yes the wing definitely finishes the car. DMC did a great job making that piece. Taylor did a wonderful job installing it too. You can ask Taylor about the specifics of the turbos. I just enjoy them.
  13. You never know man. Some people think there are only two Lambo tuners out there, so you can't make too many assumptions!
