Ya he is funny. I lost track of how many times he says " fcuk me dead".

He had an interesting video last week were some random friend who know nothing about watches guessed the prices of his collection. She guesses $300.00 on most of the watches. Most people have no clue about the watch market. No clue what a 10,000 dollar watch looks like.

^Very nice, A. Lange & Sohne, the most understated and likely the most under-rated good timepiece. Congrats.

+1, I love their designs. A much cleaner look than a typical Patek. Of course, to each their own.

Is it possible to apply PPF to a watch to protect it?

Thanks guys !!
The attention to detail is just amazing. The display back and the movement is second to none.

Cool watches here.

The Russians also bought the «Lamborghini of Emendator», the cost of which amounted to 17 million rubles.

How much do you care about beating up the watch you buy? I mean shit happens, can hit a wall and scratch/ding it. With a $500 watch it sucks but oh well, but with a $15000++ one!?? Is there insurance on this sort of thing or you just have to have the means to not care?

You not only have to have the means not to care, but also the mindset. And it's a tough one imo. For the most part, I can get a few dings on my Rolex or Breitling and I know my jeweler can polish them out no problem (other than the time I hit the Rolex into something and broke off the luminescent marker on the ceramic bezel. Had to send to Rolex for fixing - it was a little over a grand).

The harder one is dinging my AP, which is the rose gold case with the rubber clad bezel. You think the bezel is all rubber, but it's not - it's just a thin layer of rubber OVER rose gold. So you want to fix that tiny little nick that you look at every time you put the watch on? It's $3k at the AP repair in Florida. They have to replace the whole bezel, which is rose gold dipped in a thin layer of rubber. Shit.

So, I just deal with the ding and I'll replace the bezel when I trade the watch in. The value would be compromised more than the cost to get the watch back to perfect, so it's worth it...it's just not worth it now when I'm still wearing it 3-4 times a week.
