azlambo Report post Posted December 2, 2015 My usual sources for rebuilt front Koni shocks (part #5133241) do not have any shocks left that have working electronics.... only rebuilt seals for the hydraulic lift portion. Any of your guys' sources would be appreciated. Jeff [email protected]
Assman Report post Posted December 2, 2015 Jeff, I think Allan just sourced aftermarket ones for his SV.
azlambo Report post Posted December 2, 2015 Jeff, I think Allan just sourced aftermarket ones for his SV. I saw his post. Didn't know if the aftermarket ones would Be a simple "plug and play". For both the lift system connection and the electronic plug connection.
azlambo Report post Posted December 3, 2015 From QRS shock components: Thanks for the interest in our products, Quantum design and manufacture a high performance monotube damper that would not be compatible with the OEM controls of the Diablo. Any dampers that we have done for the Lamborghini in the past have been more track focused.

azlambo Report post Posted December 11, 2015 As it turns out, my Koni ECU is bad, as well as the hydraulics of my front driver's side shock. Electronics in the shock are ok.
azlambo Report post Posted January 9, 2016 Well, replaced the shock, replaced the Koni ECU. Car lifts fine, but error light on regarding the electronics in the shocks. Ran the diagnostic test with the box under the passenger side dash. Turn on the ignition, lights on panel go dark. (So far, so good). Push "auto", error light flashes (what it's supposed to do). Then push "auto" again.....and it is supposed to either flash once, then stop, then repeat,....or flash twice, then stop and repeat,.....or 3 times and repeat, or 4 times and repeat. This would tell you which corner had the bad shock electronics. Well, none of the above happened. There was one flash, then stop, then 2 flashes, then stop, then 3 flashes, then stop, then 4 flashes, then stop. This all would repeat. I know I don't have bad shocks on all four corners. When driving, the car is rocking and bouncing all over the place.....as if none of the shocks are even dampening at all. I don't think the new ECU is communicating with the shocks. So, my question is......what do I look for now? The only components in the system are the shocks, the ECU, the switch panel, and the diagnostic box. HELP!! Chipster Report post Posted February 10, 2016 Glad to hear it. That seems unusual. Was it a rebuilt shock or new?
azlambo Report post Posted February 11, 2016 Glad to hear it. That seems unusual. Was it a rebuilt shock or new? The shock was rebuilt with new seals for the hydraulics. Unfortunately, the electronics in it were bad.

azlambo Report post Posted February 12, 2016 My shocks came in today.. I take it that you will cap off the hydraulic feeds to the front shocks, and disconnect all electronic wires to the new shocks?
Allan-Herbie Report post Posted February 13, 2016 Truthfully, I have no idea how you hook them up. Hopefully I can get some pics from Alex during the install.
