  1. I have been. Having gotten that out of my system, I am now moving forward to solve the problem.
  2. That is probably the issue for me. I am 6'5". I barely have enough legroom with the seat all the way back. I could not move the seat forward in order to be able to get the space behind to recline it.
  3. My dealer would not do anything to resolve this issue. I think they were worried about the potential liability from changing a highly regulated item (at least here in the U.S.) in the car like the seat - i guess I can understand that. I brought my car to a local race shop, and they did take out the seat to take measurements to make new custom rails. They said that the seat is basically right on the floor with the stock rails, so it can't be lowered meaningfully. Given that, they then thought if we could just recline the seat some, it would allow more headroom. However, they concluded that, because of the shape/design of the seat, there is not enough clearance behind the seat to allow it to recline more than a fraction of an inch. I am curious if your dealer knows something that my racing shop did not see. If so, I would love to solve this problem without replacing the seats.
  4. I agree they are not as good looking as the SV sport seats. However, my problem is not just that they are uncomfortable. It is lack of any headroom. My head hits the headliner, even when I slouch down in a very uncomfortable seating position. I have dealt with the factory, and there is no way to get more headroom. So, I either need to replace the seats, or sell the car. The car is too fantastic to sell, so, I will put up with the Tecnocraft seats.
  5. Here is a picture of the seats in a Gallardo. (My first time posting a picture - don't know why I got two copies of it inserted).
  6. While the factory says they are looking into a solution, it is clear to me they are not going to do anything at this point. Tecnocraft now has rails for their racing seats to fit the Aventador. I have ordered two of their seats, and will replace my sport buckets (keeping them so that they can be put back in if I ever sell the car). Tecnocraft says their seats should give at least an additional 3 inches of headroom, and weigh considerably less (they only weigh 6 lbs each). I am supposed to receive the new seats by the end of March. I feel that Lamborghini has made a mistake, not been willing to admit to it, jerked us all around, and lied to us. Having said all that, the car is so incredible it is worth going through all this additional hassle in order to be able to keep it.
  7. The news I just received from my dealer is that the factory is looking into a solution to get more headroom with the sport seat. However, my factory rep said he doubts any solution will come in time to help me with my decision on what to do. Seems like he is basically saying they are lightly thinking about what might be done, but that I should not expect a solution in any useful time period, if ever.
  8. My current car is a Rosso Bia Super Voloce. It has a gold glitter in the paint - looks incredible in the sun.
  9. I had a Nero Nemesis Aventador for three years. It is one, if not the, best colors for the Aventador. Really cool. And a huge pain to take care of. Scratches and nicks cannot be repaired. Rub any place too much and it gets a permanent sheen. Can't use regular car care products (wash, wax, etc.), and have to be sure any place you leave it for work knows that. I wrapped the front. You need a really good person to get the wrap to stay on well. Done right, it is virtually indistinguishable from original paint. However, getting it done right is not easy. I am glad I had the Nero Nemisis for three years - it is a look you can get no other way on the car. I am also glad to now have a non matte color Aventador. I worry a lot less. If I just had to keep the Nero Nemisis, I absolutely would have wrapped the entire car. I personally just don't like wrapping my entire car.
  10. I really commiserate with you. Just a couple weeks more, and I would have been in the same position you are - making a decision that I did not have to make due to lack of consideration/communication by the factory. For my sake, I hope they come thru with the solution. I feel really bad that you are locked in. If I were you, I would be very upset. Having said that, we still have the SV. It is an absolutely incredible car, and even with seat "problems", we are fortunate to be able to drive it.
  11. I was just about to go with a suboptimal third party solution. I heard from a Lambopower member that the factory was working on a solution - I had not heard anything from the company except their continual denial that it was a problem. After I emailed the Director of After Sales in Italy (the member gave me he contact info), Lamborghini finally confirmed they are working on a solution. Otherwise, I would have done something not quite right and then heard about the factory fix. It is frustrating that they took so long to even admit it was a problem. While I don't like waiting so long for a solution, what bothers me most is them denying it was a problem despite multiple complaints, hoping we would just stop complaining. I think the company badly mishandled this situation. While I still absolutely love the car, I am less positive about the company now.
  12. I received an email from Lamborghini confirming that they are working on a solution to the headroom problem with the SV sport seats. They are designing a new seat rail that we will be able to order from our dealer. I don't know any more about the nature of the solution yet (they would not share that with me), but evidently they are now working on it. It will take a while, given all the regulations they have to comply with. For me, it is worth waiting rather than implementing a third party solution. I just hope it does not take too long, and the solution really does solve the problem.
  13. Is this the same software upgrade that is available for the LP700? When I took delivery of my SV in October, my dealer said that ungrade was not available for the SV. They did a free software update that opened the exhaust valve at a lower rpm, but the valves are not always open. Are yours always open with your upgrade?
