Vegasgtr Report post Posted September 13, 2017 I have taken a little hiatus from all forums for quit some time. I have been on here and few others and have had no desire to post. The worst year in my life was 1994 when i was 22 i lost my 20 year old brother. Time healed that wound to a certain extent and I bounced back from the depths of hell. Made good money ,nice car, family kids. etc. Then came a long 2016. Ill keep it short. My last younger brother passed away in may 2016 (35 years old). Left me broken. Had to close some of my business in vegas. lost a ton of money in the stock market ( 70% of my savings ) on stupid options. Every business i tried turned to shit. Did not want to leave the house for a few months.. started drinking fighting with everyone... Just became a miserable prick.... I picked my sorry ass up in February 2017 and said i am not going down like some punk bitch. Started running, boxing , gym got back into shape. Stopped the every day drinking crap (almost cost me a divorce ). Started making phone calls to Leasing Offices , talking to be people who are positive energy and got a good location in a busy Casino. I am not Out of the woods financially but getting there. Busting my ass every day to move forward. If any of you fall down... remember a few things . time will heal wounds ( human mind/body is resilient ) exercise ( running , anything) take one day at a time ( sounds cliche )but works. end of rant. Ill post more on here.

Lightning Report post Posted September 13, 2017 So sorry to hear about your brothers. RIP (to both of them). I too had a rough year but for me it started in 2016 and followed almost all the way through 2017. Only over the last couple of months have things begun to turn around for me (long way to go as its not over, but hopefully 2018 will be the best year yet). I appreciate your post and commend you for dusting yourself off and getting back in the fight. Thanks for sharing. Cheers. murcivu Report post Posted September 13, 2017 Welcome back. Sorry for your losses. IMO, as we get older, life gets tougher. But the body & mind is very resilient. Takes time and dedication. Now it's all about how you roll with the punches. Hang in there. Tough times will eventually become easier.

SV-N-IT Report post Posted September 13, 2017 wow that is a tough one.. this also reminds us that when things are good or even just OK that is a GREAT day! (don't take anything for granted) and everyone has something, even the most perfect people on the outside have internal issues that make yours look like a walk in the park. Rawr Report post Posted September 13, 2017 I hear ya, let's all keep pushing going down isn't too good of a story to tell!! I walk around brooding a lot lately, nothing is as good as it was when I was blissfully ignorant, life's too complicated, etc.. then I look at this picture sometime when I was sick with a stomach flu and laying bed ridden with a wet towel on my head, being so physically drained that it was a real struggle to reach over and pick up a glass of water on the nightstand, and I realize that everything is ok and I'm being a bitch. I started reading this book "You are not your brain" look at the praise, https://www.amazon.com/You-Are-Not-Your-Brain/dp/1583334831 about 20 pages in but I found it was already helping - its a real mindf*ck when you're convinced everything you think is actually YOU thinking it and it turns out it's not and you gotta be vigilant and aware to tell the difference. yellomurci Report post Posted September 13, 2017 Glad you are picking yourself up and moving forwards, also sorry to hear about your brothers may they RIP. What ever you do be really careful of any doctors prescribing medications to make you feel better, (meds are not much different to what you were doing with drink) much better to work through it your self as you are doing. I would say good luck but seems you are making your own and doing it well.

TestShoot Report post Posted September 13, 2017 Brother, I've been there. One day at a time is so true. I can't tell you how long it took me to feel human again, but the process taught me more about myself than anything else could have. I learned that money can evaporate and met some amazing friends along the way.
