So at Shift S3ctor Indiana today UGR broke 2 World records. The DCT Huracan 1/2 Mile record at 233 mph and the 1/2 Mile World Record at 256.99 mph in the yellow Huracan. Congratulations to UGR for always being at the top.

Doesnt just sound amazing when it takes off but when the power kicks in it sounds like a yet engine on full boost!

And thats 257 with a spinning launch! Theres definitely 3 mph more for that yellow car to gain on the 1/2 mile from start to finish to reach 260!!!

Beyond belief how much power this car produces!

Hats off to UGR!

Apparently Gidi wants to run another pass because he wasnt happy with the spinning launch in 1st gear.

Meanwhile the rest of us are already left speechless....this is just pure overkill...want stupid fast? Call UGR LOL

Awesome congratulations for the 2 new world records

Unbelievable!

congratulations to Gidi as the driver, or should I say pilot of the 256.99mph Huracan and also UGR for building a Huracan that can run reliably at what must be the current insane power level -eek!

Congrats on the DCT Huracan new record at 233 mph. The DCT gets stronger and stronger!

cheers,

john

The list of amazing things to mention about this car are becoming too long. Just think about the fact that it was just finished 1 day prior!

Plus look at it....remove the sticker and the 10 gopros and it looks completely unsuspecting. Like a true street car. Thats what it is.

Not to take anything away from any GTR shop, but just look at what they have to do to compete. The only stock part left on the cars from Nissan is their paint probably. Removed and replaced about every gram to get there. Not even having side mirrors anymore. The measures are exhausted and have made it obvious a long time ago that the R35 platform has come to a dead end for street racing scenarios. Gutted interiors, parachutes, aluminum cooling tanks where the rear seats used to be. 7x3 feet wide welds bolted to the rear for aerodynamics, 15" slicks front and rear (18" radials for the 1/2 mile runs to be fair).

And those are a few things to list to get started....but moreover even Lucas from ETS, as well as the guys at AM,S and the other GTR shops admit the enormous effort and wear these race cars cause. Swapping/repearing the engine or transmission every couple runs! Anything above 1600-1800WHP max should/cannot not be sold as a somewhat reliable or streetable package to a customer. The problems are just too great and it would constantly have to sit at the shop.

Ultimately you have to agree with what many GTR guys have said years ago...the Lamborghini platform (especially weight and mid engine v10) does have some advantages the GTR can not overpower. They are great cars that have been able to reach crazy fast quarter mile times. But with the uprising of the Audi and Lambo DCT cars, those times will be endangered soon as well. Technology will progress, power will be increased and the numbers will follow!

Why even bother to attend TI at this point if this yellow monster is coming...I mean what could you line up against this car if it just beat a 2700WHP+ GTR shop race car. One is not even competitive anymore with anything less than 2000HP.

DCT Huracan at 233 mph ... Is that about 2,200 hp at the tires ... That didn't take long ...

I guess we're going to start seeing R Version (1500 - 1600 whp) Huracans running around a neighborhood near you ... Very Soon ...

I think I'll cry tears of joy if I start seeing 'R' Huracans in my neighborhood!

Hmmm ... Hang on a second, I know I have a box of Kleenex around here ...

Don't worry it's the extra large size ...

The fastest car doesn't always with the roll races. There is a ton more to it than just a lot of power. I hear one of the other tuners is bringing some gutted or (a lot of weight removed) out of some Lambos with 15" DR's. I'm sure those and the GTR's will be a challenge. Should be interesting.

Yea man, really excited about the DCT setup. We have been working hard on this setup for a long time and its paying off now. The car drives just like stock, clutches are as smooth as stock. Really exciting times for the Huracan/R8 DCT builds. There are a hand full of shops claiming they will have the fastest DCT setup soon. :eusa_naughty: I think we delivered a pretty clear reality check to the competition with the DCT 233 1/2 mile pass.

Congrats on the red car, I was excited when I found out that is was pushing over 2000whp. Once I saw the 4.5" single exit tips, I knew it made more power than it did on its first outing in NC 1/2 mile. I'm pretty sure you're the only ones pushing over 2000 on the DCT lambos/Audi. Always two steps ahead of the competition. Good shit 🤘🏾
