  1. any evidence of water damage in the interior? i knew of a flood car on the east coast. the flood damage wasnt major it still ran afterwards. regards rs go seahawks!
  2. chrome ones or smaller rear black ones? were do you find the chrome bumpers or the twin small black rear ones?
  3. hey bully ive driven a few urracos 3.0 included... yes, own no. how many urracos have you ran across over the years? beside boasting that they can last 40k is kind of comical. can you imagine porsche , period ferraris or other vehicles for that matter being proud of few cars making to 40K? there are plenty of guys here on the forum can tell you how reliable they are and arent. seem like im trying to defend the cars. but what the hell do i know? 3 of them sold for peanuts at auctions. the market has spoken. dont get me wrong im a big fan of the car. thats why im here but if you have a problem with me constantly spouting rubbish then this my last post here so enjoy yourself. over and out
  4. reliable or not, when you drive a 3.0 car it doesn’t even remotely feel like a P250. the motor truly transformed the car. much like stepping up from 924 to a 944 or a alffetta gtv to a gtv6 giving it an extra dimension . please dont take this as a dis to your wonderful early P250... it’s a way cool car rs
  5. your old 2.5 liter motor is much better than the 4 cam jalpa unit? interesting. im puzzled by the confirmation....ever driven a 3.0 liter urraco ? why would you say the cylinder heads are crap? other than the strange cam carriers, and claims porous casting I dont see anything piss poor with the ports or combustion chamber design. btw jalpa drivetrian is roughly 100lbs lighter than a 308 unit i shipped out. you dont hear many complaints about the weight of that motor. the later jalpa block did away with the spacers, i often wonder if they were more reliable.
  6. there was a blue/tan silhoutte that was tested in a french magazine back in the days. i wonder if that might be the auctioned car? what was unquie about this car was it had the euro x19 side marker lamps with the round light in a black rectangle in place of the stock round 124 fiat ones and differ from the usa spec urracos or x19s. in photos the interior color looks close to the auctioned car.
  7. pretty far price id say.... i wonder if thats the same gold color as the famous UK Car magazine "convoy" silhouette. can anyone post up a color scan pic of that article?
  8. here u go... i love em too, i just saw 2 yesterday and not at the auction http://www.rmauctions.com/FeatureCars.cfm?...D=r233&fc=0
  9. ultimate motor works ex gold silouette is being auctioned there as well that weekend
  10. its not so much the diameter of the wheels but the overall height of the tires, 14 inch urraco xwx are very close to the jalpa's P7's while the front of the silhouette 195/50-15 are tiny in comparisons. i always wonder why lambo didnt use a larger and taller wheel from the countach S with the bravo 205 fronts. there is a P400S owner that trial fit his larger 8.5 bravo wheels with 225 on the front of his urraco and it look to fit nicely. most likely this larger size wheel and tire would fit better on a jalpas front? im not sure about the silhouette though....visually the front wheel wells appears smaller. I dont want to double guess franco baradini's chassis set up for the silhouette. apparently, he's a remarkable chassis man and later went on to engineer some fabulous current super cars for some big oem's. its seems the jalpa adaption of bravos wheels are thrown on without any suspension tunning for the huge discrepancy for much larger rear 285 tires over the 195 fronts. remember the jalpa are only have 25mm difference. all the best rs

  12. great vid! i have a set of those SW gauges but in imperial looks like the flares have been repainted glossyand personal steering wheel replaced. there is a red wolf replica that has the original bravo and flares in the area here. tired but still a stunning car. i want to get my hands on it to restore. thanks for posting rs
  13. ive been looking on and off for a jalpa project car. any details to share with this jalpa? rs
  14. cool thanks for sharing thats pretty much spot on what i was thinking... 3137lbs minus roughly 18-20 gallons or 130-140lbs of fuel. i reckon the P250 is the lightest around 2800-2900lbs. a P111 weighs in at 3060lbs according to R&T 75 test (with 1/2 tank?) and a P300 with chrome bumpers also near 3000lbs. the heavier 3.0 motor and P300 interior pieces seemingly offsets the federal safety equipment of the P111? so what makes a jalpa 200- 300lbs heavier? chunky interior pieces, but i believe is mostly the extra stiffen panels in the floor pan and tunnel. hard to see whats actually modified in the roll hoop/bulk head area from the silhouette. at least the weight was put to good use. dont forget the federal version had cast intake boxes and a convoluted exhaust system. rs
