  1. Wow that's heart breaking, my dream car in pieces
  2. Ahh the GT1- I knew there was something missing from my pic, then again, they didn't have the street version on display when I went
  3. wow did I miss out! Kinda reminiscent of the "other" Museum in Stuttgart- Then again, Porsche is actually in Zuffenhausen which is just outside of Stuttgart and of course when I was there, the old museum was nowhere close to the architectural piece the new one is, but as they say, it's what's on the inside that counts
  4. I guess I'm alone when I think it's not too bad looking, the concept of a 4 door P-car though is enough to make one And yes I know it's been done in the form of an SUV, which I'm not a big fan of that either, but hey if it sells and gives 'em R&D money towards the successor of the 997, C-GT, etc then I'm all for it, stealing from the yuppies and giving to the enthusiasts On a side note, what do you Panamera haters think of the Estoque?
  5. nice collection! and oh yea thanks for introducing me to these forums, still wiping the egg off my face from SBN but I also found another great forum through here and am currently taking the steps to become a Lambo owner someday soon myself
  6. I think I have that book laying around, it's actually the 1975 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Shooting Break
  7. you need to have 200 posts, I feel you on that one, but I think it's a fair requirement to prevent any spammers or inactive members from posting there.
  8. exactly- there's much more to a car than top-speed, 0-60 and 1/4 times.... it's why I don't care that there are Civics out there that could wax my car and also why I don't care that I could hang with a stock Diablo in the 1/4 best of all are the ones that are "track-queens" and have nothing but a racing seat(no passenger seat), no interior trim and are either setup for limited or no street use at all.
  9. that just blows me away, I thought 1000+ hp was only for 1/4 mile freaks(and ricers like me) not exotics too!!! to add to that- has this beauty seen the track yet(an oval or twisty type not the straight-line) and if so, what's it topped out at? I know I gave up on modding my VR4 b/c even a 1000awhp VR4 is still not a stock LP560 or LP640 b/c hp and straightline performance isn't everything, but a 900rwhp exotic is just unfair
  10. Like this... Makes the 18's on my VR4 look like the "pizza cutters" on an early 90's Civic hatchback...
  11. here's casa de me... not much, but not bad for 24yrs old and just out of college edit: the IS is my fiancee's car... the VR4 and bike are in the garage... also I have 2 roommates, 1 has an '08 Impreza(non-WRX) and other has '98 A4 2.8
  12. they're called SUV's in the hands of tiny soccer moms or all these spoiled teenie-boppers who get what they want and start out in M3's, Range Rovers, and Benz's....
  13. wow I love Q5 where she thinks b/c they paid more than sticker that she should be able to get more than sticker.... then again, I know most exotics are like art and trade as such, hence the $600k Enzo is now going for more than $1.5mill, which makes me even more po'd that ppl have such cars and don't drive them, as I posted in another thread, I hate the "Cameron's dad from Ferris Buehler" in the world, that have such exquisite autos and think of it more as an "investment" than a car
  14. funny you say that, although my fear of rollercoasters(age 4-12) came from my parents thinking it would be funny to put me on Space Mtn when I was 4 and as far as swimming... well no problem going in the ocean... just couldn't manage the deep end until I was about 11(now my problem w/ swimming is form/endurance... sad since I'm training for a marathon I STILL can't swim more than 2 laps w/o being gassed) with that in mind getting a fast car for my 1st car was no problem(93 Firebird Formula when I was 15 w/ my permit) and I also started on a 600(I was 22 and it was YZF600R) I just hate the feeling of not being in control. i.e. the other day riding in a buddy's M5 I was grabbin the "oh sh1t bar" every 30 seconds... but when I drive there's no problem pushing the envelope although now the biggest fear is getting a darn ticket.... and oh yea since I got over the fear of rollercoasters now I'm a coaster JUNKIE!!! And I'm not ashamed to say I was once afraid, sometimes getting over your biggest fear makes the feeling that much better
  15. my apologies to sprite... wish you woulda posted this same thread on SBN instead of making it sound like "I want a 600 SS and nothing less!!!" obviously you were messing w/ us there and trying to see who the a-holes of the board were(sadly I was one of them) but good to see you got your head on straight and going with the Ninja 250... the '08 is greatly improved over the old models and even has the looks of the newer SS bikes as opposed to the 07 and older that looked like something from Robocop just remember to get the gear your need(hard-armor jacket(textile or leather), riding jeans OR armor pants(textile or leather), full-face helmet, boots that cover the ankle, and gloves that go over the wrist), take the safety course and possibly do a track day or two... after all that probably in a yr or two of riding you'll be ready for the 600SS or possibly even a liter bike or will just be happy smoking the posers on the 600SS's who didn't take the time to learn/fine-tune their skills b4 jumping in the deep-end!!!
