  1. That's so funny, why would anyone go to such lengths to try and make themselves look good on instagram. He has a serious problem.
  2. If this is correct then the email I am reading right now from from a senior manager at Lamborghini in Italy is factually incorrect. Would you be so kind as to PM me the VIN numbers of cars that you are aware of which were not recalled so I can provide an accurate written response.
  3. This is every single Aventador and SV in Australia....lol...... Hence the recall covers ALL AVENTADORS here..... both of my cars are on the list. In fact my first Aventador was the 2nd car in Australia and my SV is more recent, the VIN numbers of both cars are on the list..... As I have stated the issue is a design fault which was corrected in the Aventador S as such all cars of the previous series are being recalled world wide, period !!!
  4. Can you please tell us where you got this information from as its inaccurate.
  5. As far as I'm aware the fire hazard relates to a design issue and effects all Avenadors of the previous series, not just a select few.
  6. I strongly suggest that you do have the recall done, your car might catch on fire if you don't do it. It's that dangerous that the factory waited for the last SV roadster to roll off the production line in March 2016 until they did the recall on ALL AVENTADORS ever made....This extremely urgent recall was done despite the factory being aware of the potential fire hazard since May 2012. Our cars are highly flammable so watch out... !!!! I'm sure you will still love your castrated bull after the recall, perhaps you should get the licence plate "steer"......
  7. Its a risk ALL Aventador owners including myself have faced since 2011, now I am left with a castrated bull..... I would much rather have a bull with balls. Furthermore, if the factory was really concerned about cars catching on fire why did they wait until the end of the series to do the recall??? It does not make any sense. The fact of the matter is that the cars that caught fire did so because they had aftermarket exhausts and the following conditions were met: 1. Hot ambient temperature 2. Full tank of petrol 3. Engine revving whilst stationary Owners such as myself have known about this for years.... this is no big revelation....
  8. They can not split out the modes in the software that is for sure. It is either do the recall and have the Aventador S software on your car or do nothing and keep the current software. In my opinion I do not think that anyone should do the recall until the factory create a version of the updated software that is specifically designed for the SV rather than giving us Aventador S software.
  9. I actually think the car makes less noise, this is actually consistent with the purpose of the software which is aventador s software and is designed to make the car more economical and also purge fuel tank vapours more often. I get the feeling that less fuel is released when you accelerate and then suddenly release the accelearator in higher gears - hence fewer crackles.
  10. The unusually quick climb up throgh the gears happens in both strada and sport mode when in Auto.
  11. I now know of 4 SV owners in Australia who have experienced issues with this software. The car has lost its personality. Here is my take on it.... Negatives 1. Car climbs up through gears much quicker in both Strada and Sport mode (car will be in 6th gear at a speed of 57kms). 2. Sport mode is not Sport mode anymore, its similar to Strada. 3. There are fewer exhaust crackles. Positives 1. Clutch seems to grip more and feels tighter If enough of us complain perhaps we can get the factory to do something.
  12. From Cars and Coffee in Sydney on the weekend. Two Aventador SVs amoung many other cars. https://www.facebook.com/7newssydney/videos...59396120751181/
