The dealerships' service managers will be at Rome this weekend test driving the Urus both on track and on the road (perhaps even off road?). Next week will be the sales associates' turn. So reports on how this new model truly performs will be trickling in soon...

Looking forward to more reviews, it’s shaping up to be quite a bit of a beast.

The major media outlets are all done by this point. Teir 2-3 may get a seat with the service managers depending on space. More than likely they’ll have to wait for them to reach stateside to get a chance to drive.

If memory serves me correctly, the major outlets have their release dates arranged with the manufacturer for publication.

  • 1 month later...

Italian Quattroruote magazine tested the Urus in June issue. 0-62 mph 3.15 s. 0-125 mph 12.0 s.

Top speed:303 kmh (190 mph). 1/4 mile (400 m): 11.3 s.

Brakes were rated as superlative. Track lap (Vairano): 1'16".33 ( better than Jaguar F-type 5.0 4WD SVR)

Ferrari F430 did 1'17".37

Ciao

As I said before Lamborghini will not be able to make enough of them fast enough. Let’s just hope that profit will stay with Lamborghini and they put it to good use.

That would be nice. Think though they might divert to cover some of the loss for diesel-gate?

Props to Lamborghini.

I've always resisted premium SUVs as being nothing more than a fancy name plate attached to a powerful motor, but this is something else.

This is legitimate handling prowess.

This has some serious performance, it actually did 0-62 (0-100 km/h) in 3.15 sec area, 0-124 in 12 sec and ran 1/4 mile in 11.3 sec and this was on standard PZeroes. Imagine what it will do on optional Corsa tires.

The thing which impresses me the most is stopping from 100kph in 36 m

Have you seen the size of its rotors? The front ones are as big as its steering wheel if not bigger.

Those losses are nothing when compared to current profits. The profits from China alone last year are three times greater than the fines imposed. VW shrugged that off long ago. Even the losses from all the buybacks were minimal because they resold every car at a small loss. 3 billion of the settlement fees are being used to install supercharger stations across the country as a condition of the settlement. Some of that will be recouped over time once Tesla and everyone else starts charging money to charge cars. All those stations will be the first 350Kva capable stations installed (as opposed to 100Kva at Tesla stations) to support the Mission E and future models. They likely would have been spending that money similarly without the court order.

I've seen them, they are ridiculously big, I'd love too see them with the wheels off.

It cost me $5500 to change the brakes on my C63, I wonder how much would the ones on the Urus cost LOL
