  1. this is the variable displacement compressor, also pressure switch under front hood liner is same switch Bentely used on Continentals that wick ac oil and refrigerant into wiring harness all the way to the ac head unit,Bentely replaced lots of wiring harnesses and components under warranty
  2. Compressor doesn't have a clutch on it,on the side of the compressor is a electric controlled valve that the ac head unit sends a Milli amp signal to control the variable swash plate inside. You want to see at least 300 milli amps (ma) signal to this, the scan tool from lambo can monitor this or use a inductive ammeter
  3. I purchased a clutch last year for a Maserati Quattroporte and Installed, set up PIS with scan tool per manufactures specs and never had a problem,Customer very happy with clutch performance,in this everyday driver, Pega Clutch is a great product. Thanks GTE Engineering
  4. Check fuse for PMC circuit, this is the cotrol module for the wings. Pmc module behind drivers seat (behind leather panel) fuse I think is there to. Ciao
  5. All in all at the end of the day the Nissan is still a Nissan, no matter how much power its making, It doen't have the PATINA as the italians would say and never will
  6. For service in the Southwest, No Limits Automotive Technology in Phoenix, former Lambo tech that has his own shop, Top notch service for a lot less than the dealer 623-434-5588, also service on Ferrari and Masarati
  7. Possibly a tape on wheel weight was there at one time?
  8. Sounds like it needs a brake lite switch, Audi part ,Egear computer needs to see this input to start or shift to neutral, brake lites will still work usually cause the brake lite switch has two seperate circuits, one for the lites and one for Egear input. Very common replaced many. Lambotech2
  9. Underneath the coolant tank (right corner of engine compartment up by rear glass) are the fuel filters, attached to them are the MED fuel shut off valves ,remove them and your immobizer system is disabled, they should come off and just attach fuel line to fuel filter inlet. 10. Try checking the ignition switch and wiring down the steering column, remove bezels around column to see if plastic sheathing around wiring didn't rub through from active use of tilt, telescoping steering column, also hows the connection to the main harness ,seen the wiring rubbing and break twice in the last five years, just a idea to check. 11. The LIE only controls electrical coil in solenoid valve by controlling ground of the solenoid coil, vacuum comes from blue vacuum resivoir behind right side plastic paneling,LIE doesn't monitor vacuum of this,it knows vacuum of the engine by the map sensor between the plenum chambers. It does monitor amp draw on solenoid coil because if coil shorts the driver in the LIE will fry.to much voltage to driver, the LIES monitor cat temps always, all newer cars have air pumps and when you cold start you want those cats to fire up as quickly as possible,so pump air the the exhaust,on your lambo its in the cylinder head via those secondary air valves (borrowed from Audi and BMW) this fires up the ovens, the catalytic converters once there hot enough ,signal from temp sensor ok (usually 350 F) the pump is turned off by LIE,vacuum solenoid turned off by LIE for secondary air valves (yeah same solenoid as exhaust flaps just different location, different job, same part) this process is very fast remember your gallardo has variable valve timing so compression on these engines go uo to 350-380 psi when you advance the intake valve timing and retard the exhaust for max power and the LIE likes to do this at idle. 12. Correct, 22 years experience on Italian exotics, 24 years in repair biz, two times of Lambo school a year, One time a year in Sant #### and One time a year at the VW-Audi training facility in Marlboro Massachusetts. I started out back in the 80's repairing Countach's and LM002's, Ferrari ,Masarati etc. Iknow AJ Global pretty good and AZ Lambo. Good Guys Exotic Car Lovers are great. Lambotech2 always here to help
  13. That is the themocoupler, the metal tube to the kalvico sensor is on the front of the cat up by the flange its reading the exhaust pressure before the cat, also the metal tube screws in the cat just like a brake line, this metal tube likes to get plugged with carbon and debris causing check engine lites because the sensor isnt getting a pressure reading from the exhaust.
