720S Pricing

What sort of pricing is everyone seeing for 720S both new and slightly pre-owned? I really like the car but scared of the McLaren depreciation and seems like it hasn't hit yet, or at least dealers are not acknowledging it.

They're looking pretty strong online right now. Of course, what they're listed for and what they are actually selling for are two different things...

they appear to be holding up pretty well... a friend is looking for a used one as well and hasn't come across any deals... the spyder is still a year out...

Launch edition for at lambo Houston had a deposit on it and fell through. Is available now but I didn’t call for pricing yet. Has a $345k msrp. Higher list prices on du point registry listings. I emailed one place and they were asking $363k for one with a window sticker of $350k.

Like you, I’m uncertain. I don’t have a feel for McLaren prices in general, never really followed them in the past.

I’ve been going through autotrader/cargurus/eBay over the last 4 weeks and it seems like msrp or above. My local dealer is doing msrp but waiting to see if anyone has backed out on their orders. I really want mauvine blue so hoping to get really lucky.

Anyone have a perspective on what to expect based on the 650 coupe and spyder historicals? Were 650 prices at msrp and up post launch and for how long before they started to come down.

the 650s was incremental over the 12C and the initial cars were really expensive, my 650S spyder was $355k, I ended up getting a huge discount, the Spyder was launched soon after the coupe as well, that combined with the 570S coming out really threw prices all over the place, since the 570S is just as fast as the 650S.

with the 720S being an all new car with such a massive increase in performance that approaches hyper car levels, there really isn't anything you can buy new right now to complete with it without spending millions.... of course it's a toss up on the road course with pro drivers, but in terms of all out blistering acceleration, versatility and daily driving capabilities, nothing comes close in it's price range..

once the spider info is released prices will drop IMO.

my guess is you have 4-6 mos of stability and than game over. (how much of a drop who knows)

lets hope history doesn't repeat itself..

Prices are dropping...

Really? I haven't seen anything under $330k anywhere, even on a $330k sticker car.

I had this one offered to me at MSRP but wasn't a fan of the red interior. If anyone wants it I'd be happy to make an intro.

$?

Consignment car. Sticker is 342k, He wants 365k. I am sure it is negotiable to an extent. There is a void of new cars available, and most of the new car dealers I have spoken to are selling pre owned cars for north of MSRP, if it is the right car.

For whatever that is worth. This one is pretty legit, and I am dying that we don't own it and I can't drive it :eusa_wall:

Based on what everyone is saying, there seems to be some discrepancies in the pricing. A consignment seller thinks he can get $20 over MSRP, a dealer is looking to sell one at MSRP, and a member has been offered a car below MSRP. Seems a little strange, but then again could be a byproduct of demand in different parts of the country I suppose.

I think you're right, totally depends on where it is - CA being the worst place to try and buy anything seemingly rare, as usual.

I really like the 720s but given the significant depreciation of previous models I'd rather just wait and see what happens.
