How do I remove the curb rash guard under the front bumper?

Took the SV out today and my curb rash guard under the front bumper rubbed a little and a portion of it came loose but not off and it's now hanging a little bit lower than other portion of it.

How do I take the whole thing off without damaging my front bumper? They don't screw off.

Fortis, I know a portion of yours scraped off, did you take yours off yourself? If so, how did you do it? Or did you have the dealership remove your damaged one and replaced it with a new one?

Teamsalamone told me to have that guard removed long ago and I want to, but when my SV came in, I told my dealership to do so, they refused.

Now I have to deal with this bullshit of a rubber guard that stick down lower for an inch. It increases my chances of being rubbed and hit the pavement.

I want it off!

SV owners....what did you guys do?

Congrats on the car! Did I miss a delivery thread on this? Went looking and didn't see it anywhere. Would love to see some photos!

Enjoy in good health!

I just ripped it off and binned it at a gas station, mine was almost completely off, it's secured with rivets.

I am having new ones installed this week but I am sure they will come off, the front of the car is very low and unfortunately it scrapes everywhere.

It does look terrible when that section is damaged.

...it's secured with rivets.

^this.

It's an one-time-install-and-secure thing. Once it's been hit, it's done. You need to rip it off and install a new one via rivets. Stupid design.

So basically I can wait til it happens "au natural" but will look like an ass in front of everyone with pieces of my front bumper hanging off the front bumper because most likely it will happen at a car event. Those that don't know about this rubber guard will think that I destroyed my car.

OR

I go actively try to pry it off. A fellow SV owner texted me and shared that he had drilled the rivet heads off carefully, remove the rubber guards, and then push the metal remainder rivet pieces into the front bumper.

Man, this is a pain in my ass!

HORRIBLE DESIGN for sure!!

I got mechanic to take it off for good. And wrapped several layers of thick vinyl on bottom of bumper ..

That's something I'd rather do than to drill holes below

That's what I will do....

When my car goes into the "COUPON A" free service...I'll have the Lambo dealership remove it.

Yeah...this concerns me, but it works for those of us that is cool DIY it.

I had mine replaced an still scrapes I agree its a dumb design. Even if it was a pliable rubber it would give more but its hard plastic. Most of the scraping is my fault, but you always should raise car up that helps. So far slightly scraped mine is still so so.

Bummer!!

on the coupon A service, you still have to pay for parts correct? about $700?

FYI on my coupe it was hanging on the ground lol but my SVR it has been perfect. but I always use the life even if its close.
