Door Solenoid

I've had issues with the door locking since I bought my car, and the cause has always been failing solenoids.

The standard part, I am told is now just replaced by Lamborghini, with a Universal 5 wire one, such as this..

Fitting is quite easy, the only thing to note, it that the screw holes may not exactly line up.

I would suggest a screw in one hole and a tie wrap in the other, to stop the unit twisting.

A third solenoid was fitted to my car, and wired to the alarm control, to automatically open the drivers door - and I've now got that working too.

Pity the alarm remote range seems very limited - about 3 metres.

hope this helps Mikael.

behind the yellow zinc plate to the left is the door release solenoid.

the door locking solenoid is to the right (T shaped) behind the window winder guide post

This is from 2013, when my car was being painted (hence the primer colour door edge) and I've since replaced both.
