Kisco Report post Posted April 21, 2014 This goes to show you that even when roll racing, trap speeds don't tell the WHOLE story. It only tells the story UP TO the trap speeds.. FGT 4th gear is loooong and it pulllls. Nice runs! Man MP4 sure is impressive for stock.
azmurciev12 Report post Posted April 21, 2014 nice run. but markedly different from the results i got when i ran both my mp4 and fgt at a mile even
FikseSTS Report post Posted April 21, 2014 have your Ford looked at, we know what both of my cars run, dyno, etc... my car does have exhaust which drops weight and adds 20HP, FGT is faster, pulls harder... BTW, I was pretty sure FGT was going to lose badly after seeing your video a while back... nice run. but markedly different from the results i got when i ran both my mp4 and fgt at a mile even
FikseSTS Report post Posted April 21, 2014 yep, if you look at the splits, the FGT pulls harder up top... 12C 1/8 mile: 108 MPH 12C 1/4 mile: 135 MPH FGT 1/8 mile: 102 MPH FGT 1/3 mile: 133 MPH so 27 vs 31 MPH on the back half... This goes to show you that even when roll racing, trap speeds don't tell the WHOLE story. It only tells the story UP TO the trap speeds.. FGT 4th gear is loooong and it pulllls. Nice runs! Man MP4 sure is impressive for stock.
azmurciev12 Report post Posted April 21, 2014 really weird but probably your car is making much more power. our conditions here and fuel quality have a negative effect on the performance compared to US cars. i was running the 93 octane map by Torrie. i think my FGT is running ok since it has beaten another FGT on the same mile event with similar mods but has the Heffner tune. as you can see my FGT was ahead until I shifted into 5th gear and it is only then that the MP4 caught up and passed it going about 300kph. but at that time my MP4 still had the original power of 592hp. for comparison the 60-130 vbox of my FGT was 7.2 and at that time was dead even with the MP4. however, after the update to 616hp, the MP4 now vbox'd at 6.9. anyway, good run. just a little perplexed at the markedly different outcomes. Sounds like you shifted very early into 5th. What RPM redline are you using w/ Torrie's tune? Should be +/- 7K rpms. With his tune, exhaust and TB, you should be running close to 660whp and running away from a non-upgraded MC IMO. Best.
