Thinking of pulling the trigger on this 04 tomorrow and for resale value reasons I'm interested in what you guys think of the mods and the resulting look. Homerun or not?

It's a stick with 50k on the clock. DMC Kit.

Thanks guys

Needs the right wheels as Fortis has pointed out. In addition, it needs the right suspension drop. It's riding like a 4X4 right now, and that doesn't help. Those two things would make a WORLD of difference on that car. As far as resale on the mods, you'll never recoup your money for aftermarket parts. Buy the car because you like it, don't plan on making money off it, especially an early Gallardo.

Wheels and a drop, also the right front grill looks like it has a huge hole in it? I would only pay marker price of the car without the kit, maybe a little less. Cleaned up and maybe some color accents and it could be a fun driver. Make sure that rear spoiler is attached well too.

Thanks for all the feedback guys n gals,

Yes, a good drop would def be on my list, wheels maybe.

Still a bit scared of the early G's in terms reliability/costs, as Destructo also pointed out. This car has already had the complete engine rebuilt from an earlier breakdown.

Price equal ~75k USD for those who wonder, All pre LP-cars in Europe have basically gone up ~10-20% from the bottom a couple of years ago.

DMC kit? They are the basement in terms of kits (goes them, Revozport, then OEM).

I'd definitely hit them up on the hack job from the front mesh. More than likely they did that because the car actually needed to be towed (that hole is for the tow hook). I can't remember for sure, but I'm 99% my Renown LP570 nose has a hole for the tow hook.

Any pics of the engine compartment? I'd be curious to see if they replaced the OEM plastic engine trim and if they put the LP rear crossmember brace on for the wing.

StoleIt,

Yep, looks like an ad hoc tow hook hole and I know the engine have had at least one major breakdown (and resulting rebuild). Lazy owner to not fix the mesh hole properly...

No pics of the engine compartment on the website, and I actually never went there today since I have a 6,5h drive one way and I was starting to get some bad vibes.

So, if I got it right, the crossmember is the (so far) green part on your G, and it is needed to give sufficient support for the wing, right? Great info btw, had no idea about this.

Looks like a decent car, but with a few issues as previously discussed. I'm just not a fan of that huge STS wing, but to each their own... I would advise to get the best car with documented service records, etc that you can afford. Cosmetics can always be changed. GL.....
