  1. I dont know if you are referring to me but my stupid avatar is Batman but that doesnt mean I have a fcuking Batmobile does it now.
  2. I have been running the 235 / 305 Pirelli tyres for a bit now and I have to say when they get warm, man they handle well. I dont know where this understeer comes from but it hasn't happened to me and I have just had a little track work which resulted in massive flames coming from the exhaust from the caining it got. The only problem I had was not being able to catch a S/C AMG C63 out of the corners.......soon baby......soon.
  3. Me again. I just purchased a CF wing for mine and it was advertised as fitting ALL G models.
  4. Good god man. You will burn out the wiring doing that. You will need to power the new pump directly from the battery through a heavy duty relay to use a 50amp fuse. Obviously that relay is run off the original circuit which retains its standard circuit fuse.
  5. Hi there Did you get this sorted? You may have reverse jumped the battery, not good. Does the car still start? There is a fuse box under the dash on the passenger side and another one under the cover behind the seats, becareful removing it though as you can damage the ends of the cover and rip the leather as some dick has done to mine. Mark.
  6. Hey there. I take it your alarm is aftermarket and not factory fitted? If that is the case then it certainly points to an alarm issue if the car starts after an arm/disarm as you mention. I know of general cars in the past that have all sorts of electrical gremlins with aftermarket alarms.
  7. Hiya there. I have had my 2004 E gear G for a year and a half. I love it to bits and have done a lot of repairs and mods to it myself to give it a personal touch and keep it running. Look, its Italian, its a supercar - an old supercar with higher k's, like mine. Its not a boring Jap car that runs everyday and has no sole. Unfortunately my G wasnt looked after and I have spent more on maintenance than I was hoping to in the early stages but thats life. Just to give you an example, I need to replace ALL the plastic wheelhouse trim above the tyres. They are thin plastic 'nothings' which cost a couple of hundred dollars on your average car - even though they cost cents to make. They cost around NZ$4000 to replace on the 2004 G - absolutely criminal. The common faults are; Front lift kit failure, E gear system failure - mainly hoses - wont be an issue for you though, Power steering hose failure - GET GOOD INSURANCE as this is fatal for the car as it catches fire! ( most cars should have had these replaced by now though ), Heated seat circuit failure - GET GOOD INSURANCE........, Active spoiler failure, Front suspension lower arm ball joint failure - ball joint is NOT replaceable like most other vehicles and cost.......NZ$3000 to replace the whole arm!!!!!! - after considerable looking around I managed to get mine rebuilt, Dirty throttle bodies - although this is a maintenance issue NOT a part fault. There are a few others that escape me but these are the main ones. Just get it checked out thoroughly first - my rear diff / gearbox was as black as old diesel engine oil and it is, surprise surprise, expensive also. Do a lot of online searching, I found diff oil on E bay directly from Italy for a quarter of the price that thieving Lamborghini NZ charge for ( NZ$100 a litre - 6 litres needed in total ) and even with the expensive shipping per bottle it still cost me less than half that. Personally, if I could start over again, I honestly would go for the later version 2009 which are a lot better than the previous models as most faults have been ironed out as is the norm in later versions. This is the best place for all your needs - [email protected] They have been a life saver but still have a look around for possible better deals. Best of luck and we hope you join the family. Mark.
  8. Hi all. Driving along at the speed limit - boring 100 km/h. Suddenly the front lift lamp starts flashing. Pull over and wait a bit, then pushed the button to lift and as soon as it got to full height it lowered itself automatically. Shut off engine and wait a couple of minutes. Start up and all ok. About a week later it did it again when taking the missus out to dinner. Hopped in after a lovely meal, start up, no problems again? Any ideas? Mark.
  9. Hiya Supa'dupa' What kind of cam did you get?
  10. Easy tiger? Come on Mike, thought you were smarter than that. If the E gear runs with key on which draws even more current than just opening the door and the E gear primes after the engine starts? Yea, OBVIOUSLY the battery is at fault Do you have feelings for Tara or something?
  11. Wow, didnt realise how touchy the rich lazy people are. I kinda of didnt make my point, or did I? I couldnt have put it better myself Supa, nor did I. Yea, let the lawn mower man do his job, unless thats your thing also but when it comes to your 'baby' as you so rightly put it, unless it needs the more technical stuff like having the ECU remapped etc, doing work like you did gets you more in touch with the car and IS an awesome feeling - its not all about saving coin. A lot of owners have the money to buy anything, whoopty f@#$'n doo, lucky you but when you get into more than filling the tank or just pushing the start button, thats real and not just a 'my wallet is bigger than yours' bullshit. I fitted a SC to my last car and that was just mind blowing knowing it was all ME and not just a shop job. I'm looking at a TT setup for my G, it actually looks easier than the SC job I did but - and this IS partly a money thing - why the hell would I want to send my car halfway around the world to get it done by the likes of UGR - ABSOLUTELY nothing against the UGR boys as they are the bomb when it comes to this type of work but its just not smart sense. Chill people and have fun in ya rides.
  12. I know this is an old post but I usually post on Lambotalk.com and cant seem to access it of late, so my turn now. Impressive numbers you have here, nice car too. NOW, that F@#$WIT who had a go at you on the first post back in '09......... What a twat, you gotta wonder how the gene pool hasn't caught up with him. This is an enthusiasts site not a F%$#WIT site for non humans. I would love to use full profanity here but its not what intelligent human beings do. You always get the haters and the more money some "losers" have the more some of them tend to be full of shit. All I have to say is AWD is for me now - although I do miss my RWD supercharged V8 HSV.
  13. Excellent work mate. Why pay a mechanic and for genuine parts when using your brain gets the job done properly and at a realistic cost. These idiots that say" oh just take it to a mechanic blah blah blah" piss me off. Thats what comes from lazy rich people.
  14. Hi there. I would like to purchase a Gallardo grey t shirt in large please. Paypal would be easiest for me. Thanks. Mark.
