  3. Hi I have a shed full of Italian car parts that I want to sell. I believe many of them relate to the Lamborghini Miura, but I'm not an expert so please make up your own mind. The items for sale include the following: - one Miura toolkit (including original bag) plus lots of individual tools - two Gallardo toolkits (unused; one complete, one nearly complete) - six Battaini jacks including bags etc - Miura fuel tank (RHD) - Miura exhaust - Miura ashtray (boxed, new, unused) - Urraco tailored indoor car cover (unused) - Vitaloni California mirror (black). - Vitaloni Hex mirrors (1 silver/ 1 black) I've attached a couple of individual photos. You can see photos of all the items here: https://flic.kr/s/aHskvPyAv7 To emphasise, while I believe the items are all original, I can't say for certain whether they are correct original equipment for any specific model or make. Moreover, as most of you know better than me, there were lots of reproduction items made, coupled to which even the original toolkits came in lots of varieties and weren't even made by Lamborghini themselves. So please check carefully before making an offer. The items are in central London, England if you want to inspect anything in person. If you're interested in any item please PM me and I can let you know the asking price and send more photos. I'm open to reasonable offers for any item or for the whole lot. I'm happy to send by recorded delivery free anywhere in the world. Jonathan
  4. I also struggled with my own photos; a black car is very hard to keep clean, and when it's polished the reflections sometimes spoil the shot - see first photo below. So here are some professional photos of my much missed LP400S2: the second photo below is from the auction site when I bought the car, the third is from the recent 'Classic Cars' magazine article and the fourth is from a photoshoot for charity with Krafty Kuts (a well-known UK DJ). There is of course another alternative, which is to process your own photos in black and white: Cheers Jonathan
  5. I know exactly what you mean. My Silhouette provides me a taste of heaven or hell (or sometimes both on the same day) depending on its mood. At the moment it is refusing to start, maybe because the carbs need a few more pumps of the throttle (but I've flooded it twice in the past by doing just that). All will be forgiven once it starts and I can drive with the top off on a crisp winter morning. I guess if we wanted something reliable we would have bought a Lexus, but where's the fun in that? Happy driving Jonathan
  6. Very well expressed - this sums up why we love these older cars (I'm not just talking about Lamborghinis) and how ownership is a responsibility as well as a privilege. The financial costs may be high but they are quantifiable; the rewards aren't! Jonathan
  7. Funny you should say that - I have been thinking about trying to get a set for my (leather interior) Silhouette. This is partly because it's proving very hard to find a period-correct radio that fits the dashboard (I don't care if it works; I'm happy listening to the engine). A nice pair of Heuer timers might look better than an incorrect radio, although as far as I am aware the Silhouette was never rallied by anyone so I guess this would also be 'incorrect'. Jonathan
  8. Not exactly a Urraco, but not far off: my Silhouette (#40052). 1977 Lamborghini Silhouette by JonathanE118, on Flickr Jonathan
  9. Your friend is lucky to have you as a friend! (and vice versa) Jonathan
  10. Hi Do you have details of the workshop? Are you able to give details of what work they did and what they charged? I'm thinking of getting my Silhouette interior redone. Thanks Jonathan
