It's been a long time coming but today I finally took delivery of a 2008 Arancio Borealis Superleggera. I can't believe how much attention this thing got sitting in the parking lot after it was unloaded. Had some neighborhood kids follow me home too.

And some big kid named DoctaM3 decided to pay a visit as well.

Can'twait to get some nice days to get her out for a proper drive.

And for some reason I can't post pics.

Thanks Fortis. I'll figure out how to shrink them.

This bring back memories of my old SuperG. Something very special about this car. Enjoy. Looking forward to seeing it at Cars & Coffee and some other cruises! It was well worth the wait.

Thank for posting the pics DoctaM3!

I'm sure you will be seeing a lot of it.

Brings back memories for me too cause you were rocking the Super G when I first met you.

I should add, E gear, CCB, full carbon interior, multimedia package, high rear wing and back up camera.

My favourite of the Gallardo series, no Gallardo sounds as good as that from the factory.

Wow, even better than the 570 Superleggera?

Congrats on the G, OP. Looks great! :icon_pidu:

Rawer IMO, if I had to chose I’d have 1st Gen Superleggera in refrigerator white.

5.0 cars sound MUCH better than the 5.2 if you can believe it, a lot changed beyond displacement and it really changed the sound.

I guess that includes the H as well?

Yup, everything from the 560 on is a completely different motor. Different crank degree for uneven firing, direct injection, etc. The two sound unmistakably different.

Agreed - i had and DD my 2012 LP560 and did 14k in it. The car IMO never sounded great - was deep like a spitfire and didn't have the high pitch on the 5.0 motor due to the firing sequence and other changes they made. An acquaintance on here had a Larini which i heard in person and whilst nice, it didn't have the pitch we all loved.

I'd take a MKI SL over a MKII SL anyday.

Thank you everyone. Wife and I finally got the car out for a drive last night. Besides my lack of smoothness with the CCB's she loved it. Could never get her in the Exige as she hated how small and loud it was but the SL we can enjoy together.

I love this car! E gear and CCB are going to take a little getting used to. But as others have said, the sound is glorious. Still can't believe it's in my garage. I find myself making excuses to go out there and stare at it.
