  1. Someone bought a market price correct countach and is trying to sell it for a profit. How were you "duped"? Did you have any financial involvement in this transaction?
  2. She was shopping for funeral clothes. http://m.nydailynews.com/1.1379732
  3. That sucks. All that gas washing the cylinder can't be good for it but wouldn't unburned fuel cause a car to smoke more? I've been to drag races where the cars were not tuned right (too rich, unburned gas) and they were smoking like snoop dogg down the track.
  4. Can a mechanic or someone smarter than me explain how crossing spark plug wires can make a smoking car stop smoking? I'm genuinely curious.
  5. There is no line to be draw. This is very simple black and white. Facts should be represented as such and the seller should not embellish: year, model, make, # cylinders, color, service records, etc. If any of these are misrepresented, the buyer can easily win in a court of law. Everything else is opinion (runs great, smooth, looks perfect, etc).
  6. Seller has zero obligation to buy it back especially after this thread. This transaction was doomed from the beginning and there’s no way to make both parties whole. If the buyer had bought it to keep and to correct it back to what it should be, maybe it would have worked out better. The buyer came in with the intentions of flipping it to make a quick buck and he tried to be cheap about it by not paying for a ppi. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn’t. Let’s say I bought a house to flip and passed on paying for a home inspection and in this case, not even bothering to look at the house. If the house turned out to have a bad foundation, I would not expect any sympathy nor would I go on the internet whining for some.
  7. i spoke to a guy in houston that wanted to sell his in the mid 60s. i would consider buying one if it's price for the body shell and interior only. there's a high chance that the battery may go bad and if that happens with zero warranty or dealer support, your car is essentially a brick.
  8. awesome job. i hope that adjustable wrench was placed there as a joke and not used..
  9. well.. if it was sold with the terms "as is", you definitely have an uphill legal battle. good luck.
  10. looks like someone took a sandblaster to the underside of the car.
  11. the pictures look terrible. if this car was fully priced i would say the seller got away with murder. at 75k, i'm not sure. just curious, what would your expectations be if you saw a countach for sale at 75k?
  12. i hope he does. better to go out on top then ruin a legacy (i.e. chuck liddel, matt hughes, fedor, tito ortiz, etc..)
  13. would not have mattered. can't beat instant torque.
