1. This is becoming ridiculous. The Performante is the first Lambo to win the track tests and to post the lap records and to get all sorts of rave in the media and by all who have test driven it, but the owners themselves cannot really use the car on the track because lack of racing seats with racing harness, and cannot adjust camber either for the Trofeo Rs? Here's another owner with similar issue, the forum won't let me insert the link but it's the other Lambo forum, http://www.another board/vbforum/f2...e-setup-192778/ Don't get my criticism wrong, I love the car and its handling but really feels they have actually made the car for poseurs and not for drivers.
2. Would you have an option code for the roll cage? Was not in the option list earlier. About the seats, if you read through my original post I'm here "complaining" how the original "race buckets" are actually not OK for track, solely for the reason there are no appropriate holes for the race belts with those. The seats as such are OK but a car with such a high level of performance really needs proper belts if you are pushing it. Especially on a bumpy high speed track. Additionally, taller Performante drivers are telling head hitting to roof with helmet on. Additionally, you suggest to easily replace the seat with aftermarket, as per my original post, the problem is the airbag error then that is not as easily fixable as in older cars, due to the weight sensor.
3. Performante is a fantastic car. But a couple issues for a track day user after interviewing the owners: - How to get racing seats and belts (and roll bar) for the car? You cannot fix belts with the stock buckets. Makes zero sense Lambo is not offering them compared to all Porsche GT cars where Clubsport package is a no-cost item. And, even though it does not suit the car's style I would be okay to install an aftermarket race seat, but the bigger problem is the airbag error with Recaro/Sparco etc., you cannot use a typical resistor to fix the error as the original seat has a weight sensor built in. How to solve this issue? No point lapping this type of car without proper belts. - How to get enough camber for the Trofeo R's, I have heard you can get some more by installing shims for the lower control arms but not enough? What is your experience and solution for this? Otherwise, it's just half a day and your tires are destroyed. - Where to get upgraded brake pads? I heard the brake pads are gone in a half a day if you are pushing. Does any company make race pads for these particular brakes, or could some of the proper brake pad companies provide us a ceramic brake friendly pad option if we send the original pads for measurements? Also, could someone have a look how much a set of original pads costs, don't have any clue if they are priced at 500 or 5000. The ceramic rotor cost....maybe I don't want to hear that but let me know I'm okay a car that fast eats a lot of tires and brakes, but if I have to spend change tires and brakes twice a day it's too much. Is the car a one-lap hero or can you do track days with the car? Thanks for any input or experience! P.S. Seems I joined this forum in February 2005 and it took almost 13 years for my first post!
