  1. If that was real, it would be scary as hell.
  2. And here I thought that was common knowledge.
  3. The beauty of this whole canon or non-canon situation, since the prequels come before the originals, timeline-wise at least, they don't need to be considered, since EPVII moves forward from the events of the originals. It's easy enough for any competent director to gloss over the events that happened in the prequels, since nothing that happened in them was necessary to help shape the events in the originals. As far as Disney and Lucasfilm is concerned, the prequels are canon. It is the diehard fans that don't want to consider them as canon. Abrams didn't take a shot at Lucas, as he has no reason to.
  4. This about sums it up for me.
  5. He may not have seen it coming, but he saw it when he was going.
  6. It still looks like a fancy Accord coupe to me.
  7. Wow, this thread has gone full roller coaster since I replied early on. From a man with gender identity issues, to some folks so consumed and confused with what they consider beauty that they ended up looking like something out of Jim Henson's Creature Shop, all the way down to a White woman that genuinely thinks she's Black, so much so that her mind conjured up scenarios to solidify her struggle as a Black woman. It should be quite clear that there are some serious mental issues taking place in each case. Hell, watch an interview with any of them and the words mental illness are dancing on the screen. Wheels, this woman has a mental illness, why discount that? What criteria must be met for her illness to be genuine in your mind? Even if you feel her whole Black persona is one big sham, it still screams mental deficiency for her to go this far with it. This wasn't a weekend prank. This was a complete life reboot.
  8. She does nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, for me. I also find her painfully annoying, and this started early in her stand-up career, long before her rise to fame. In my opinion, she is one of those comedians that tries far too hard (that red carpet stunt comes to mind), and her shtick is often about all of the guys she can get, men suck, what women have to put up with, or something in that zone. I guess men are beating down her door for that chubby face. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and what my eyes behold is not beauty, so I'll pass.
  9. I'm assuming that's what he used to "stitch" them together.
  10. I couldn't care less what anyone does for life fulfillment. Good on Bru-I mean Caitlyn, though, I could do without all of the coverage. Family Guy predicted this back in 2009: Hell, Married with Children hinted at it back in 2006:
  11. Fury Road is a feast for the eyes. If Coma the Doof Warrior (the bungie-corded guitarist) bothered you, a fan favorite by the way, you most definitely weren't the audience for this film. I would say this is a film for anyone that enjoyed the original trilogy, especially Road Warrior, as this is essentially Road Warrior 2015. While true, Max wasn't given much to do, yes, this was essentially Furiosa's (Theron) story told through Max's eyes, Max is the conduit to each story in this universe. If not familiar with the originals, then it is for someone that wants to be taken on a roller coaster ride of vehicular combat. It's not trying to be anything else, and I, and obviously many others, thank it for that. There are other movies to serve those purposes. The film is also a tool to show Hollywood that excessive CG isn't needed to pull off a successful action scene. The vehicular combat was shot practically, except for the stationary shots done with the leads front and center, and not all of those were stationary either. The rest were real and practical, save for the sand storm, with supplemental CG where necessary. This is generally unheard of nowadays, so quite an achievement. Edit: I just saw your reply that you consider the originals classic. Surprising, as most that enjoyed the originals enjoyed this. Outside of Max playing second to Furiosa, there weren't many complaints from fans of the originals. So not really sure why you couldn't stand it.
  12. I say throw another exhaust pipe on it. Why the hell not.
  13. She's a right lighting, makeup, and angle kind of girl with some extreme facial features. Not my cup of tea, but I won't fault anyone that wants to dive in.
  14. Yeah, that nose makes babies cry. It appears as though she asked her doctor to give her the Michael Jackson.
